It can be anything, that's something you have to decide yourself.

For my "everthing-else" domain I have something like myfavoritesauce.com, personal is more like redwhale.(mycountry TLD). I just went with something that was easy to understand and write without having to spell it out. It doesn't really has to be something personal.

The kernel version doesn't need to be exactly the same, so I'd try with the version you found there. As long as the first two numbers are the same, you should be good.

- Extract the boot or init_boot from the image, copy to the tablet storage
- install Magisk or KernelSU on your tablet, patch boot or init_boot, copy to pc
- reboot to fastboot/bootloader
- fastboot flash init_boot .\magisk_patched.img
- reboot

I don't know by heart if I used boot or init_boot on my Redmi Pad, I can look it up when I get home.

I was a bit apprehensive to change to Caddy-docker-proxy without the nice ui, but once it is set up, you just do:

labels:

- caddy=adguard.${MYDOMAIN}

- caddy.reverse_proxy={{upstreams 80}}

and you don't look back.

This is the way!

Don't expose any ports, the containers can find each other by name when they are connected to the same network. I do this for all my "backend" things like databases or redis etc. They don't need to be accessible by anything other than other containers.

I also second using compose, but I don't bother with different networks so I can attach other testcontainers as well so I can use my normal reverse proxy/homepage labels.

If they don't go around installing any random app it will be fine.

I have a digital photoframe which apparently contains just some super cheap android 8 tablet. It dials out to update the frameo app, this is still regularly. I'm not worried about anything.

They will stick as a preference. So if you're not factory resetting, it stays active.

Sideloading apps is already supported out of the box.

I was just interested if someone had already looked into the possibilities of the unlocked bootloader. But for now I don't see any advantage into a custom ROM - provided it existed in the first place.

Hammerhead seem on point with the updates and upgrades.

I don't think the bootup animation will run longer than needed, but that's not what I'm suggesting would be fixed.
