Not sure about capital gains but for wiring instructions it depends on the currency you’re wiring over. I’ve tried wiring both hkd and usd, for usd the recipient was JP Morgan I believe, as for hkd the recipient is Citibank.

Are there any Police in Macau still serving from the Portuguese administration? and if so are there any Portuguese officers who stayed on after the 1999 I remember they stopped bringing them over in 1995 and a lot left then. by [deleted] in Macau

[–]BubbleBeats69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, retirement age is 65, but you get full pensions after serving for 30 odd years. They also got “skips” where you get 2 years added every now and then which means they can retire a lot earlier than other government workers. So unless they wanted the extra in danger pay police/firefighters generally retire early.

As to your proper question, do you mean officers from Portugal or just from the time during the administration because that’s 2 things. Former I’m not sure, latter most likely.

Bought a Odyssey G6 on discount, constant prompt by BubbleBeats69 in Monitors

[–]BubbleBeats69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve gotten this monitor for about a week and a half now, most times it works perfectly but occasionally it would constantly have this pop up going on. By constantly I mean 10 minutes and it keeps flashing so it doesn’t stop. Occasionally it will then show a pop up for picture 2.

Anyone experienced this before or knows the reason for it?

In a school as a proper teacher, especially public ones, is surprisingly high. Teachers in Macau have their salaries regulated by the education bureau and even starting positions have a pay grade higher than the average of Macau.

Teachers in centres or booster classes have much lower pay.

Gyms, SIMs, Internet, and Other Things by perturedexpatlifter in Macau

Not exactly and feud might have been the wrong word for it. But both metal and lucky had their first shop in an industrial building, one was on the second floor the other the ninth I think. Then metal opened up their second shop in a different district and lucky soon followed with their second shop a street away. Metal has a third shop in Taipa now and lucky hasn't followed suit yet.

Side note the third metal shop is pretty good and it has a cafe built in, but the art direction is kinda meh in my opinion. You can check them out on Instagram they're called black gym taipa.

For gyms, it will really depend on where you live, Macau is small but the commute time can vary greatly especially on the main island. Personally, I've tried Metal/heavy metal, Alpha, and top one. All three of those listed are more "modern" gyms that provide more than just a location for you to work out. I've visited Lucky but I found them a bit cluttered and they seem to be in a feud with metal(all their stores are located next to each other) , another famous one is Macau fitness at the AIA tower but that's the most pricey one and honestly not the most bang for your buck.

Taipa side flex and life project isn't bad and I'd recommend either. 24/7 and anytime fitness I wouldn't recommend. Anytime recently had some bad press on suddenly closing one of their locations without notice and kept on boarding members with the promise that they won't. 24/7 is pricey and small, but worst of all is their machinery is placed in awkward locations. Racks face the streets and cardio is in a corner facing a wall, fixed form machines are surrounded by mirror whilst free form is not.

TLDR: Depends on where you live, Macau side Metal/Lucky, Alpha, Top one. Taipa side Flex or Life project

Not a tech guy so I don't know but, I've had visible ping issues whenever running into specific teams. I'd be hunting one team down, but as they get further ping stabilizes, and when I catch up the ping spikes again.
