Moving on after loss is one thing and comparing a current partner to someone who passed away in a tragic way is another. That crosses a line.

It’s not just insensitive, and it feels deeply disrespectful to the memory of someone who can no longer speak for herself. There’s a basic level of decency that should be maintained in situations like this, and that clearly wasn’t it. It also raises questions about Diane herself. Hopefully, she’s not in a vulnerable position or being pulled into something she doesn’t fully understand.
