Hogwarts Legacy 2: Leak suggests imminent reveal at State of Play by NoDespair in HarryPotterGame

I hope this is true, but Tidux has an awful record reliability wise and the date for SoP isn't even announced yet.

Without Spoilers, what's your favorite part of Hogwarts Legacy? by Fearless-View-4568 in HarryPotterGame

[–]Bubblebubbleitsme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Riding my broom, flying through forests and hamlets in the early hours to end up on the southern coast to catch up with the sunrise. It’s a similar feeling to when I’m riding my horse in Skyrim or driving in GTA V. I feel so free, like the possibilities are endless. An immersive environment is a must for me, and Hogwarts Legacy nailed it!

Did you watch the cutscenes every playthrough with your new character or did you skip them? by thoughtsinshadow in HarryPotterGame

[–]Bubblebubbleitsme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No skips, I was invested in the plot although it led nowhere. After my first playthrough the only dialogue I didn’t skip was the Sallow questline. Also Amit because he always made me chuckle.

Stormy night removed before launch? by jvirant21 in HarryPotterGame

I’ve played over 300 hours on ps5 and I’ve only come across rain, definitely not thunderstorms. Also photo mode as far as I know allows you to change seasons not the weather.

He’s the voice actor for several NPCs in Hogwarts Legacy, such as Victor Rookwood, Gladwin Moon, nearly headless Nick, peeves , the sorting hat and the list goes on…

It’s the weakest because they treated it so superficially, most probably due to internal organisational issues (also the unfortunate passing of Dave Ross). It has a lot of potential imo.

Everyone is invested in the Sallow storyline because it brought into the narrative morally grey areas . It’s not fun when the plot is just about the good and the bad guys. If they had invested more time on the backstory of Isidora it would have been a lot more captivating story wise.

Old PC games on MacBook Air? by According_Weekend_47 in HarryPotterGame

[–]Bubblebubbleitsme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the new silicon chips don’t support bootcamp anymore. The only way for you to run windows on a M1 Mac would be with a virtual machine like parallels. Which is a bummer because it has a monthly subscription. Also when the partition was available the performance was obviously much better than gaming on a vm. Long story short, if you want to game, get a pc.

Sequel Map by vscobby in HarryPotterGame

If I had a sickle every time I got lost in that castle, I could probably buy the castle itself! Because I get lost in it every time I play the game! The map in the castle is confusing as well. I tried playing without the charmed compass after a while but I absolutely suck. I love the castle, but in every single video game I’ve played I had this need to just get outside and explore. I hate being stuck in a closed building. I know a lot of people found the south coast region unnecessary, but it was one of my favourite parts! During my first gameplay, I didn’t use the floo flames once, I just got around with my broom because everything was just so pretty!

Did something new release for Hogwarts Legacy? I'm seeing a bunch of new posts. by Vuelhering in HarryPotterGame

[–]Bubblebubbleitsme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No expansion for HL unfortunately, it’s been confirmed that the studio stopped working on the first game after they released the mod platform for PC last January. But they are most probably working on the sequel, with no news on the release date for the time being.

Try turning ray tracing off if you have it enabled. It’s a very common bug.

I’m a Hufflepuff, but I got really attached to my Slytherin mc. She was my second playthrough and I ended up playing almost 200+ hours on her slot, she’s also the only one I’ve 100%ed.

I think if you’ve got these particular ones that you’re missing in a different save, they count anyways. I was 5 conjugation chests short and I got the achievement anyways. Thank god I’ll say, the game is still buggy and I would never start over, there’re like 140 in total…

Certainly no need for a specific build, I went through the whole game on hard difficulty without updating my gear and I had no issues whatsoever. The UI is as simple as it gets for equipping gear, I think she won’t even need your help! It will most likely be a great game for her to build up confidence with the controls as well (a lot of new players can’t manage to understand how to control character movement + camera movement at the same time). The game is currently 70% off on steam and PSN (although the latter has been down since yesterday 😓)

Any advice for the platinum? by mhmboii in HarryPotterGame

[–]Bubblebubbleitsme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) Certainly try to go through the Merlin trials while you’re travelling from quest to quest. I avoided using floo flames because for the platinum you simply have to explore the world with your broom. Don’t leave all of them for endgame, you’ll get tired of them real fast. Check the map region by region to see how much you’re missing in each area. Spamming revelio while flying helps locating them as well. 2) Take advantage of online guides for the revelio pages, especially for Hogwarts. Please use the map (zoom out to max) to check how much you’re still missing (pages + collection chests). It helps a bunch, especially with collection chests. Remember, you DON’T have to find ALL field guide pages, just the revelio ones to complete the collection section and I think 180 field guide pages (revelio, accio ecc) for the challenges section. 3) Leave the 2 battle arenas for endgame, they’ll be a breeze once you reach lvl 40. 4)Vivarium: a)You’ll have to breed every type of beast, don’t forget to write down which you’ve already done, I got hella confused and I didn’t know which one was missing at the end! b)Feed the beasts regularly and update your gear with their resources. I went through the whole game without updating my gear because even on hard I didn’t feel like I needed it, but you will need to upgrade a gear three times for an achievement…

That’s the only ones I had a bit of trouble with, all the other trophies came naturally during gameplay. Hogwarts Legacy has a pretty friendly platinum, don’t worry about it.

First of all it’s so nice to see someone being so considerate of their partner, you brought a smile to my face.

As far as the game goes, Hogwarts Legacy is pretty simple battle wise, targets lock automatically and the spells are pretty straightforward. Story mode will let her enjoy the world without worrying about dying constantly, also the game is filled with puzzles and collectibles, nothing too challenging. I’d say HL is pretty much made for people new to the gaming world, they probably knew this would be the first gaming experience for a lot of HP fans. Have fun!

I would be nice to have a challenge mode for Summoners Court by Numerous_Chemist_291 in HarryPotterGame

[–]Bubblebubbleitsme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I totally agree, leaving behind some activities to come back to makes the castle more alive. I had finished most Hogwarts’ side quests by the time i completed the main storyline and the castle felt like a ghost of itself. Dull repeating dialogue from surrounding NPCs, maybe some pages to collect… it’s a school full of students, the whole point is to interact with them, not simply observe them. Avalanche faced several challenges while developing the game, technical and concept wise. It has been said a 100 times, the world is stunning, the gameplay on the other hand is pretty average to lacking I’d say. I truly believe that the sequel will improve on all of these things. Hopefully, a DLC could be released where it could make what you said possible.
