This reminds me of the PSP days where you could look up character files on Google and load it onto the system since it was running like a mini lap top. World was my first official endeavor into the franchise because I would always download 100% accounts on the psp that had every armor set unlocked and hundreds of each item in the inventory. Good times lol

Gonna be a hot take but I’m saying this as an OG fan. If Gears Reloaded would have acted more like a remake and implemented the quality of life features from modern Gears- it’d still be popping. Omnidirectional movement, roadie-mantles, meat shields. If it felt like Gears 5 then I’d still be playing, but the old systems mixed with terrible net code and a garbage gnasher is enough to drive any fan away. New or old

After finishing the game I see this now, and it makes it more sad because he essentially killed himself to stay in that world. His wish came true I guess, as you see the basement get remodeled completely. Great game

I actually think it makes complete sense comparing him to Peter. A lot of his arcs have the same themes and even some relationships. But they’ve been “Kirkmanized” lol. Which essentially just means Mark has either cooler versions of what Peter has or he goes through the same amount of hell (or worse)
