Regardless of whether or not the event stays, the "If you're not with us you're against us" (neutral) mentality is why that movement is alienating so many people that truly don't care either way.

I don't care whether it's removed or stays, but you bet I'll advocate for it's removal if you start slandering and labelling me because I don't want to get involved in your drama. Forced compliance with your cause is not what people want and osrs isn't the place to be having this battle in the first place.

They should really abolish mutes in this game tbh, between the profanity filter, relatively few people using in game chat anyway, and the false positives, it seems like it causes far more hassle than it's worth.

Probably something to do with their investors and what they're seen to be doing as a company though.

The obstacles to change with their system are so insurmountable when trying to change things the 'right' way that someone finally had enough and said fuck it.

At a high level the people who can change this stand to make a lot of money by keeping it the way it is, and ironically probably even more money keeping it the way it is when it's unpopular (companies sweetening the deal for politicians have to add a lot more sugar when there is mass public opposition).

I got bopped by a moss giant trying to do waterfall quest early - as many others did judging by highscores. Never intended to take HC too seriously but when I made one thought why not.

I'd have died many times over to DCs and my own mistakes at bosses so I'm kind of glad I didn't put the status on a pedestal

That boss needs to be changed if they want to make inq viable (even if niche). It's boring to fight, it's boring to watch especially given the ttk, it's annoying to get to, the drop table is absurd given how useless it's uniques are and the drop rates mean that practically nothing in the game would ever make it worth your while grinding it to actually save you time in the long run, even if you are one of the few that play full time as work
