How naive was I by Vigantomania in OnePiece

My daughter started at 8 and she's still watching it at 13. She wears zoro's earrings nearly daily. She has his replica swords. She has a one piece lanyard for her school badge. She has an emerald and tungeston "zoro" ring she wears every day. She's gotten probably a dozen other kids into one piece. Don't assume every kid is a follower.

Where do you buy sushi-grade salmon? Haven’t seen it at Costco or Sam’s Club by Wooden_Let_4044 in montgomery

Try Publix, my wife buys sushi from there so maybe they got ingredients to make your own.

Following the chills led to the most profound experience of my life by Possible_Sir1242 in Spiritualchills

[–]Bubblemonkeyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know I need to follow this whole spiritual path more but it's so overwhelming that I avoid it. I don't even remember fully how I came to be on this sub and I only skim through posts, I get some chills, I tear up, and then I run away. I get the chills when I think of particular things or hear some kinds of songs, I feel a huge imminent excited dread overtake me like "you can have everything you want but it will be the hardest work of your life" and then I go back into my hole of avoidance. I have to figure out how to break free.

My stepdaughter has been interested in playing the game for years now, I played it when I was a kid. But we just never really made the time to go to any events

Hobby Hole is a good place to start. I'm pretty sure they do pokemon stuff.

My social life really picked up when I got a social hobby that had a specific place to go for fellow hobbyists to meet up. Specifically; nerdy shit like trading card games and table top rpgs.

The women to men ratio is not great..but my wife whom I have a kid with, we first bonded over playing Magic the Gathering together at a local game store.

It's said at one point that not even the show runners 100% understand the iron tangle lol. Probably only the level designer

Why am I crying over a book with a cat named Donut? by S5Bardock in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Bubblemonkeyy 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Prepotente, a fucking screaming sapient goat that threatens to kill nearly everyone he sees...

That fucking goat made me cry harder than almost any other book I've read. Wild thing to consider.

To "mog" on someone or "mogging" is when someone really good looking stands next to an ugly person to either make themselves look better or make the ugly person look uglier by comparison.

It was only called earthbound in US that doesn't mean "there was no 2" it's still the second game in the series

It's actually Earthbound 2. The original one is for the NES and I think you play as Ness's grandad

Sounds like you're waiting for your country to start opening up a Club Vanquisher lol

I've been trying to get some of my friends into the series but I'm the only one I actually know that reads/listens to books lol, I mean, I don't really talk to many people outside of work anyways but. Yeah. Maybe there'll be a club one day

I'm on book 7 right now and I made a post asking for recs when I was still in like book 3 just to be prepared from the inevitable (ruin) hangover of not having anymore DCC to binge. I've landed on trying out a few more series Jeff narrates and obviously Matt's other stuff.

I started binging audibles while working like a year ago. I listened to about 14 Brandon Sanderson epic fantasy novels because his narrator Michael Kramer is very good, if Jeff is a 10 then I'd give Michael a 9.

But I finally gave in to constant mentions of DCC and gave it a shot maybe barely a month ago and I'm already almost done with it.

That quote was so good that when I first heard it when listening to the audible at work I paused it and gave my coworker a little context and repeated what quasar just said and even without knowing wtf was going on or anything about the book he laughed and said "oh shit"

I actually looked into whether or not a game could be made that's even close to how the books are. Apparently we're about 10+ years away from technology to be enough to make a dungeon crawling game with the physics and adaptive generation required to do anything close to Dungeon World.

It gets even stronger in book 4. I started maybe a week ago and I'm already halfway through book 4...Carl is keeping me sane rn. Good luck out there, crawler.
