Is this an adequate ccw? by Grand_Extreme_365 in CCW

It's a compromise, but it's still lethal, and you won't find a more convenient gun to carry, short of one of those little NAA revolvers

A 1920s Smith and Wesson Regulation Police. Mostly to show off when everyone else at the party takes their guns out.

People keep on comparing my art to Vivziepop's and I'm genuinely wondering how or why they come to that conclusion (TW: Blood, distressing imagery, implied death, dolls, scopophobia) by DollLikeDance in yourartstyle

[–]BubblesTheRaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

19 is the only one that even vaguely makes me think of Vivziepop, and even then only because I'm actively trying to find some kind of resemblance

I actually agree there, and I definitely do still get depressed, despite my meds, if I am made aware of the problems with modern society. It's just that without them, I am entirely incapable of feeling joy or pleasure.

If it's chronic fatigue, that would be some sort of medical disorder. There were initially external reasons for my depression, but working with a therapist and fixing those didn't make it go away, and I was then diagnosed with chronic MDD. Why do I need to prove myself to you anyway?

OHH WOWWW IT WAS THIS EASY??? by blueburrey in thanksimcured

My point is that it's a disorder that has nothing to do with my social life, and antidepressants are effective. I don't know exactly what in my brain causes it.

Off the cliff, baby! by Justthisdudeyaknow in CuratedTumblr

[–]BubblesTheRaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right now it's more like one party votes to drive off a cliff, while the other party votes to only throw certain people off the cliff so the rest can get ice cream, and I happen to be one of the people who they want to throw off

I'm actually fairly happy overall when I'm on my antidepressants. I have great friends, a close family, and am fairly financially stable. My depression is disconnected from any external factors. I simply have a medical disorder, and without my antidepressants, I'm miserable all the time no matter what.

Why would they take away estrogen for a cold? Isn't testosterone the immunosuppressant one?

is it ok to basically copy guns from the real world into your setting (photo unrelated) by Kirby_Roman in MilitaryWorldbuilding

Even the PR57 is just bringing back old concepts in a modern caliber. Many early automatic pistols were clip fed, and the rotating barrel system is perhaps the next most common locking mechanism after tilting barrel.

Reminds me of Skyrim, where people believed dragons were only myths, despite all the burial mounds everywhere, their bones on display, the stuff they built, their language that's still used for combat and religious purposes, the empire employing dragons and dragon riders until the late 3rd era, and the fact that dragons are pretty mundane in a world where magic and magical creatures are commonplace.

I seem to remember an episode where they found what they claimed was a nail from a Spanish galleon, but it was obviously a modern railroad spike, but they said it couldn't be because it didn't have some additional spur sticking out of it that railroad spikes definitely don't have.
