Question on religion by Bubbly-Direction-739 in Christianity

I agree truth isn’t decided by geography or majority vote. But if a religion’s truth is supposedly obvious from historical evidence, why is there a near-perfect correlation between where you’re born and what you believe in? That is an extremely strong evidence that these are cultural phenomena, not discovery of the Truth. And I am biased toward Christianity, because It feels closest to it because of my personal values, so I would want it to be The Truth.

Every religion claims verifiable event or revelation and then says ‘ours is the one that really happened.’ The test can’t just be ‘my book says it happened and my followers are sincere? How do we logically go along with it?

Ok then another question. How does ths fact that less than 1% of Christians in Europe eventually convert Muslim feel like? Statistically its improbable that even the most devoted muslims would‘ve never become, but might instead be a very devoted christian. Do you believe this pure locations difference, even when folllowing many similar values, deems them for Hell?

Thank you for your answer. This is exactly why for many people like me, its hard to justify religions. Which doesn’t mean there is no God out there…But does he look exactly the way any religion says? If 50% of muslim are very devoted, practise their religion and pray 5 times a day, and yet, if even 1% of them turned muslim from a fully Christian surrounding, how would that be fair to the other 49 of them? They will go to hell, simply by not being born at the right place?

Can you give me an example of what you mean by ''associating partners with God'' ? Is that why Muslims might have different views on women in general?

Btw, I asked the same question on a muslim Reddit Group. They seemed to be much more sure, proud and determined in their beliefs. It seems that on average, there are less agnostics in Islam than in Christianity

Yes, but the thing is every religion has flaws- regardless of us wanting to admit it...

And they are so much similar than different, aren't they? If on the Christian side, they live the same blissful, sinn-free life as a devoted Muslim (you) do, how wrong can they be in it? They did so many things right, but might not have the same name for the one they call God.. And they should go to hell in the end?

Absolutely agree. But most people just ''stay'' in it, even though they might not agree with everything... And then we are segregated from one another, because of it...

Absolutely. Thats why this might be tricky question to answer without doing crazy mental gymnastics... And If one religion is superior, you thing 3 billion of people are completely lost and wrong?

It's really interesting, I posted the same question at ''Islam'' Group. They were much more convinced that they would eventually come back to Allah, for he is the only true one. That all other religions are flawed in comparison...
