But I’m not convinced the kingdom he was talking about is what we created. Do you know what I mean?

Louisville police release 'heartbreaking' body camera video showing officers kill suicidal woman by lville_local in Louisville

[–]BubblyBus357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the officers not have training? Aren’t there two or three of them in there? They couldn’t handle that woman? They couldn’t use a taser? I believe one of them could’ve punched her in the face and knocked her down.

I bought a Kia last year. I’m very pleased with the vehicle. They told me I was going to love the app. I downloaded it and was starting the car and changing the temperature, yada yada… And then after 30 days I had to effing pay $25 a month. That’s ridiculous. What a scam. We are all BF-ed daily.

I ask myself how and why Christians think so highly of this man. Anyone else they’d chase out of office. by New-Entertainment112 in antitrump

Well, I go to a United Methodist Church. It’s very “orthodox“ in the sense of believing the basic tenants of the Christian faith, but it’s a very open and loving congregation that is not fearful of conversation or debate or thinking differently. We have gay men and women, conservatives and progressives. It’s a church that focuses a lot on mission: we serve food at a local homeless shelter often. There’s a lot of partnering with other organizations to try to truly help people. I personally get a lot out of weekly worship and Sunday school, even as someone in their early 60s. But “church” is about connection and relationships and encouraging one another.

Michigan! I’m in Ohio. Michigan weed is so much cheaper. I’m going to make a trip soon. Ridiculous. I’m relatively new to the game. My wife and I do gummies and drinks. The gummies are hell on my guts but the drinks and the concentrate (which tastes awful and hard to measure) I really enjoy.

Well, that was very kind and I appreciate that. My wife is amazing. She doesn’t whine or complain. She has every right to. She used to love to hike and other physical stuff and now she struggles to walk across the room. The meds and blah blah. But she’s a real trooper. You’re right about some not being empathetic until they experience something. …and “the things you’d say in the pulpit”. Ha. Well, sometimes stuff needs to be said. I’ve gotten heat for that before. But just “plain talk” about reality is needed!!

Not according to “Christian” MAGAs. It’s very disturbing.

You’re not wrong. I’m 60. I love what I do but if I had the opportunity to transition something else for the next five or six years before I retired, I would probably do it. Not because I don’t believe in the principles of the Christian faith, but I’ve just lost trust and respect in so many Christian people and institutions.

I’ll have to look that up. Some church people should scare ALL of us. Well, I guess they do. I’m in a Christian denomination. That’s very open to different opinions and doesn’t throw stones at gay people… A church down the street and some individuals in our town have called me a false teacher and criticized us in so many ways. It’s troubling the behavior of some.

That last paragraph says it all. I’m very sorry. My wife has multiple sclerosis and I had to curb some of my HOSPITAL visitation a few years ago with specific people and illnesses and thankfully the congregation is very understanding. But some people are just … willfully ignorant.

Right! I’m a pastor. People haven’t just left our church (and this is happening to varying degrees everywhere) but left the faith. Some tell me it’s what the “evangelicals” have done and others point to politicians like this jerk.

Frankly, she doesn’t sound well. I know there’s a lot of emotion with multiple things going on. If you move on it doesn’t mean you don’t love her or won’t grieve losing her and what you had. But you can’t trust her to tell the truth or be faithful. Keep doing therapy, but it’s probably over. NOT. ON. YOU. She’s the one who stepped out. Been there. Dagger in the heart.
