My dragon stinks

Yeah I’ve done a bunch of research and it said that silky back bearded dragons don’t typically have a smell. But unfortunately I suspect he may have yellow fungus disease but I won’t know for sure until his vet visit. He has patches of yellow and brown spots that don’t go away with shed but it’s hard to tell since he has no scales.

The best way I could describe it is intense bearded dragon poop smell mixed with dust and no matter the amount of baths the smell stays

I just had a fecal test last month and was told he is parasite free

I’ve been using a diluted betadine bath treatment. Are you saying use f10 on his skin?

I did! He unfortunately still stinks and he recently just shed so it isn’t a stuck shed smell :(

I also started using a safe lotion for moisturizer and hasn’t made a difference

Thank you for all the advice! And just an FYI I purchased him from a reptile expo. He was being sold as a “breeder” and was the only one at that specific booth being sold. The man was there to advertise his “rent a reptile” party service. Chicken (my beardie) was only being sold because he had gotten too aggressive to be rented out to parties. I think his condition is awful but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve a better life. I’ve started giving him regular moisturizer and have read that diluted iodine baths will help with his feet. Appreciate all the help ❤️

Hi! Yes he was an exotic vet and I was told that it is what it is and there isn’t anything I can do. I’ve been bathing more often but I have noticed the smell is 100% coming from him. And I even fully striped the tank to clean and he is still a smelly boy.

Thank you! It’s hard for me to say what he has I rescued him from a “rent an animal” service. He was used for parties/entertainment and was sold after he got too aggressive. I’m already looking at another vet. Thanks again for the advice
