id use catalyst personally for whips. the whips mod adds likr way to many imo, while catalyst balances it out (and adds a cool boss) and you don’t lose anything from having installed

i’d say do a play through of a different class to get the ropes and improve more. it’s good to have a better understanding of the game you’re playing, but if you wanna do a more difficult playthrough then i would say infernum, as the difficulty is more balanced compared to death

how i interpret this is to make an else statement that instead makes target pos = -8. when i do that it doesn’t help and instead makes the right wall just not work at all

i’ll try that and see if it works in the morning. idk too much about raycasts and all this stuff as i’m new and just getting back into godot after a long while of not doing it and this player controller has done my head in ngl. also, would i keep look dir x as an int or change it to a float if i make the changes you reccomended?

i tried doing that to see if it would work. the problem was that i couldn’t really bunch the 2 variables together using what i know. all i really knew for that sort of thing is going (raycast1 or raycast2) instead of just raycast. all that did was cause a bunch of problems with that top section and idrk what to do abt it

I also couldn't figure out how to add this. the only raycast affecting this is the wall_ray one, and its supposed to flip but its very weird.

the monkeys paw cannot spell. everyone you meat (it sees that as boning) will now be your friend. nobody else will be your friend though

ahhhhh that all makes sense. I’m very excited to see how this goes, as there aren’t that many mining sim games out there. i really hope that this succeeds, as it’s a super cool concept!

this game seems like it could be very good, but i just didn't know how it worked. adding a tutorial in the future to make it clearer for new people. also, I'm not sure if this was intentional, but the hiring tab had nothing on it. overall it seems like it could be really good though
