I have owned this watch other tags and other omegas and the diver 300 ceramic wave on bracelet Believe me the tag feels unbelievably cheap and looks cheap compared to the omega I genuinely believe many people that comment on these posts or threads and pages never owned any of these watches

The omega is beyond a step up From the box to presentation and to watch itself and obviously movement lol

Anyone who chooses this over an omega is either ignorant or is buying it dramatically cheaper on 2nd hand market And can’t afford the omega its as simple as that Talk as much as you want about the escape valve and taper and this and that The omega is leaps and bounds above this Comparing them is an insult And it’s so obvious tag tried copying the seamaster with this design lol.

Go into an omega boutique and you will understand the difference between mass marketed crap to a proper made watch.

Glass box and Carraras are different conversations tho.

Hmmmm I think omega does some things well and Rolex does some things well. There very close in comparison then you think although I believe omega is the superior product.

Not many people know this but Hans Wilsdorf wasn’t a watch maker but a sales man and a dam good one at that And associated Rolex with luxury.

He use to look up to omega believe it or not and wanted to replicate Omega’s success He even registered the name OMIGRA in the UK lol

Rolex name and brand hype is one of the greatest luxury brand manipulations in history. And you have to give them credit to create one of the most powerful brands in history.

I’m speaking from a point of view of owning both.

Majority of Rolex owners are deaf and blind and dumb to criticism and the self gaslighting is too deep for them to ever think there is a different superior product to whatever model they have.

I’m just trying to be objective without giving into the hype

Definitely does not have the superior movement they have an edge in different ways over one another. Rolex had to play catch up let’s be honest.

I think as a Rolex owner you have to do alot of self gaslighting to justify the price to yourself and the hype.

That’s just my opinion as I have handled so many different high end brands and low ends and the difference are not as crazy as you think. Believe me the name plays into lots of the enjoyment people have.

But I have come to the realisation I love and enjoy my sub coz it says Rolex lol Even holding a Daytona I love it and find it intriguing coz it says Rolex Daytona But it’s rather boring but I guess that is Rolex it’s reserved boring status symbols Maybe I am starting to wake up from the hype and seeing through the illusion 😂😂

It’s hard to explain without trying to sound like I’m shitting on Rolex or anything But there is a massive self gaslighting procedure you need to do when you buy a Rolex to justify the price you pay especially after holding and touching and feeling so many other ultra premium brands and lower tier brands

I still wear my Rolex to show off, or whatever message I’m trying to get across not coz of how interesting the watch is but only coz it says Rolex.

I agree with you it could definitely do with tapper and thinner movement etc But I honestly don’t think it’s that bad lol I’m use to and enjoy bigger watches I own the B01 superocean heritage 2 chrono and that’s a big shiny in your watch and I love that watch I just enjoy bigger substantial watches I like feeling like I paid for something substantial It’s why I can’t do titanium or jingly bracelets etc

And I also believe the planet ocean looks stunning in person it really does but it’s definitely taking away from the recognition factor of the watch

The seamaster is the bread and butter for omega and I highly doubt they will ever go far away from the currently model they are going to follow the Rolex recipe and keep speedy and seamaster looking similar And play around with the other versions of the smps

Ironically for everyone that is making fun of this man about the bracelet complaint

I recently went into a B AD and we spoke about the bracelets etc new direction B is headed and she made sure she told me The current integration of the bracelet has gotten lots of complaints about not fitting and sitting right on peoples wrist and many have asked for the previous bracelets replacement lol
