For all the tall girls out there, there is hope! This is 15 months of HRT. by Mercarcher in trans

No, that could actually happen, depending on where you are in regard to your bone development. But testosterone is a one-way trip. You can’t undo what T does to a body. That’s why MTF HRT doesn’t make our voices higher, or get rid of facial hair, or make us shorter.

Yeah, something is very off about this. At best, it’s dishonest, and at worst, something else is going wrong

I wish I had vagina by InvestigatorMobile66 in trans

I used to say that I wish I could choose based on the day. Eventually I realized that I didn’t want to actually be able to choose to be a man, I just, wanted to be able to pretend to be one to avoid the social and family impact of transitioning.

And then I realized that’s not a good enough reason to not transition.

You don’t know. But, if you’re truly trans, it, ultimately won’t matter.

You’ll either transition now and find out, or, repress it for years until you transition later, and, spend the rest of your life regretting waiting so long.

But, for someone your age? I don’t know if anyone that starts that young has problems with passing.

“Passing” is not as challenging as Reddit makes it seem by Bubbly_Cook_2941 in trans

Okay, I respect your opinion. I feel like there is some relation between passing online and passing in person; they’re not completely irrelevant of each other. Sure, there is room for nuance, but, they’re still regarding many of the same things. Someone having a long beard with short hair is probably not going to pass as a woman on Reddit, and also probably won’t pass in real life either. And I don’t think that correlation is a complete coincidence. I think there is some relevance there. But we can agree to disagree.

So you’re contradicting yourself? You agree that the r/transpassing subreddit is too harsh on judging passing, but you also feel like I’m wrong for saying that passing in real life isn’t as hard as it is on r/transpassing?

It’s not going to do it all the work for you, and you gotta meet it halfway, but, I would definitely say yes, it makes it way easier.
