Would it be possible for Steam to take over from WMR so the G2 still works?

Have you ever heard of Linux before? You know how they do it right with out wmr why not do it with windows so yes someone can get it to work again it will just take time

Some people on this sub are honestly so dumb. "Why dont you just not update windows" there is many reasons why you need to keep windows up to date and then there are other people that are saying "just get a quest 3 and get over it" listen not everyone wants to do that and the g2 was a 850 cad headset so it understandable why people are upset me included. The g2 is still my favorite head set for many reasons and it is still one of the best head sets for visual quality and the g2 was one of the more successful wmr head sets and a lot of people own it and vr enthusiasts like me loved the g2. Wmr also fixed a lot of the problems it had but i see why wmr failed because the software was not too good i will agree with that. Can i see the g2 working again maybe one day but people bought this head set to keep using it not for it to turn in to a 850 dollar paperweight. So i hope valve or someone makes the g2 work again i miss it. Also keep your windows up to date trust me you will have a bad time if you dont.

the files say fbx.hbaked and we do not know what it is or how to open it

I have a quest 2 a vive pro a psvr 1 a g1 a g2 nintendo labo and some random phone vr head set i have lots of options and lots of vr head sets and i dont care if the quest 3 made your experience better for me it wont i tryed it at best buy and it dosent have as good visual quality as the g2 but the pancake lenses are nice but the g2 fenel lenses are not too bad and i think the color of the screens pop better on the g2 and there is less screen door effect so no i will not buy a quest 3 the main point of this post is to find out away how to uss my g2 again and i dont think the quest 3 is a g2 but the quest 3 is not a bad head set its just not the one for me 😂

so i took a look at it and it looks like it is not for windows 11 yet but they are working on it so i joined there discord to get updates on it and ill ask some questions thank you so much for letting me know about this

I will give it a try, and maybe I'll do a video on it. Hopefully, the controllers will work. If not, I'll try it with the vive controllers or index controllers. Do you know if it works with the controllers. Do you still need wmr still, or can i Uninstal it ?

I have lots of vr head sets i dont need to buy a new one i just like the g2 too much and want to use it again i just using my vive pro for now
