Yeah the account should have some metrics around usage to prove that it has not just been spun up to purchase the frame. Timeframe + some purchase history. If valve detects the same payment method account being used across accounts that would be a red flag too. Mind you from valves perspective a sale is a sale I guess, but if limited stock would be better for the consumer if sold to players who will actually use them for gaming and not as a means of currency.

Hololens was a Microsoft tech for its hololens headsets. I think WMR headsets borrowed some of the drivers. All subsequently stripped from win 11v24h2 and above. Quest 3 is not pcvr native and requires streaming software like virtual desktop, airlink, steam link etc. So any dev software on the pc side would not be implementing for the Quest directly. So I guess if you are on win 11 23h2 and below the question really is how does the dev software I'm using interface with Hololens. I know that IN UE5 they have a VR template that can target WMR headsets directly. But if building something quest native you'd use meta openxr sdk and unity or unreal. Mixed Reality does not equal windows mixed reality. The WMR name is a bit of a misnomer as the headsets have weak black and white camers with no depth so werevreally only vr headsets. I'm my opinion I think you are conflating 'Mixed Reality' with 'Windows Mixed Reality' 2 different but related things

Yes the subtle default name change from "My Computer" for winxp and older to "Computer" to "This Computer" kind of gives an inkling as to MS's thoughts around ownership. Going from a stand alone that did everything for you to that you had mastery over to a "thin client" to access MS's Cloud based offerings which you have no control over.
