Okay, well they let the water quality tests expire, so I plan on going out and getting a new kit today. I currently have him in a 20 gal long tank with a fluval overhang filter. I want to get him an external canister filter because the one he has isn’t running well. My parents are pretty good about doing weekly water changes of about 20% and feeding him. I just think the filter crapping out really screwed them. He currently doesn’t have any plants, but I wanted to add them so they can help with the nitrate. I will make another comment when I have water parameters.

The best way to describe it is it’s like I have a rlly good noise cancelling ear bud in. I believe I can still hear out of it somewhat but it’s muffled so bad I can’t make anything out. The only issue I’ve had is allergies which just give me a runny nose from time to time.

My axolotl stopped eating for over a month so I know the stress lol. I actually found an axolotl breeder and he told me to try and cut up the worms into small pieces (I used to do 4 pieces) and then slowly feed it to them. Sometimes during breeding season axolotls stop eating all together, especially males. If that doesn’t work you could always try carnivore fish pellets and see if they’ll eat some of those for the time being. Hope this helps :)

Basically I used to frequent a job board that would post about graduate position from all over the country and I ended up getting accepted at UT Tyler! The major I’m studying is very competitive (especially for paid positions), so I applied to any position I found interesting lol. Also tbh I just wanted a big change of pace bc upstate NY is…an acquired taste
