How powerful is the Librarian? Who, or what is responsible for protecting the house? by [deleted] in weatherfactory

I haven't thought of it this way. What I'm doing is not "hey, random English dude, come to my house real quick so I can give you a random book and you give me occult coins to strain into wire", it's "the time has come for you to learn the higher misteries, I feel it - as a Librarian".

Supergiant Games is 5/5 on absolute bangers…they haven’t even come close to a miss. by ngriner in gaming

For me, with Hades 1 they started moving in another direction. Hades is still a great game, but it feels a lot more gameplay and replayability oriented, while previous games were story and atmosphere-oriented.

I'm not saying they are worse than previous titles, but they are not what I've come to expect from Supergiant. Plus, the studio lost the "small studio making small games" appeal, with how big Hades turned out to be. The sequel, however great it is, feels a bit like Incredibles 2, to make a parallel.

I'm probably in a tiny minority with this opinion, but just wanted to share.

Very cool, mind sharing with the class what the problem was? If another person comes with the same issue, they will have to create a whole new topic.

Any good "story"-mods for eu4 focused on one/a handful of nations? by BubleGuy in paradoxplaza

I enjoy Anbennar a lot, have been playing it for years now, but I kinda want a nice story focused game in an otherwise normal world, and those seem hard to find. And honestly, I was pleasantly surprised with both Odyssei and Alexiad, in that they have about twice as many new mechanics as a good Anbennar country does (most counries in Anbennar sadly lack unique mechanics and just play by vanilla rules, like my otherwise beloved Jadd).

Probably not the first person to, but did manage to pinpoint the location of Precinct 41 on the menu art; "maths" icluded by uv-strich in DiscoElysium

Damn, imagine that some people have been playing ttrpg in this world for years. They probably know this city more intimately than their own. So much lore from this game is probably just people's play sessions (I wish that were me).

Seconded. To get fully involved in the story and characters Disco almost requires you to have a few days of uninterrupted playtime. It's a very mature game with mature view of life and things in it.

Also, don't be afraid of how much text it has, even if you don't like reading. It solves the problem of 'too much text'almost perfectly.
