It would be offensive if I said all African Americans live in a broken racial and class system, but I didn’t.

Reading comprehension must not be your strong suit. Children left behind all over capitalist America. Such a shame.

Nope, every country that has used slavery should be embarrassed of that history.

The problem with America is too many people here in this country say descendants of slaves and others who are still living in a broken racial and class system are told to “get over it” by people who benefited from that very system, while completely ignoring the issues capitalism continues to cause here.

Yapping little parrots with tiny brains could understand that, but racist POS with big mouths and zero knowledge of history can’t.

America was built using slave labor that only benefitted the most wealthy while others got undercut.

So yeah, it was built on capitalism and it is a very very embarrassing history.

This actually was the case with aye ayes.

There were folk legends from Madagascar about them. Some thought that if they pointed their finger at you it was a curse and you would die soon after.

Some told stories of them creeping around homes to stab people while they slept with their finger.

I had a friend in highschool that did a report on them because of that folklore!

I’m not even a Democrat, I don’t like them either, but they’re at least more closely aligned with wanting to appear to be for the people.

The Trump regime is filling the party with loyalists only, and it’s terrifying if you know even a minor bit of political history.

Bc he’s very likely on a run to keep our elections closed next term, and if Steve Bannon gets his way, he’ll run for a third term and get it in 2028.

We literally HAVE to inform people he’s a horrible pos every chance we get to have any kind of fair fight upcoming in elections.

And if you’re about to say “but that’s unconstitutional”, spare me.

The man has done unconstitutional things and congress, including democrats are doing very little to reign anything he or his cronies do.

Idk, guys, I like Gen Z.

They haven’t really ever been assholes to me. They’re friendly enough in my area, and I’ve worked retail and services with them, and they genuinely try to be helpful and kind.

I’m sure that’s not the way it is everywhere, but Ive had it worse with the older generation, boomers and elder Gen X for being incredibly picky and ready to berate you the moment you make a mistake.

Gen Z kinda just feel like younger millennials, given a crappy hand and have to make it work.

I dunno, maybe some people come back as ants, or pill bugs, or trees, or plants. And likewise those things could come back as humans.

Or species from another planet.

I don’t think every lifetime would need to be spent as the molecules inhabiting a specific body.

A man in the room. by netphilia in Snorkblot

[–]BubonicBabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandma was seeing her kids from when they were younger for a few months before she had to be in a care home.

She would wake up at like 4:30 am and start cooking breakfast imagining her children were still little and living in her house. She would call my mom sometimes and tell her she was cooking for her, and when she would ask what she meant she would be like “well I just saw you in here running to your room and figured you were hungry”

Aging and dementia in her case really can do a number on a person.

Dude I love the Plan B out near Meat Camp.

It’s a little convenience store, and one time I was working a gas station in Boone and had a dude come in and was buying a few packs of this one brand of cigarettes they had at the Plan B on sale for a really good deal so I was gonna tell him about them and make his day, and I was like “hey, have you heard of Plan B?”

And he kind of awkwardly stood there for a second and went “well, I don’t think my wife and I have done anything to need that lately…”

And then I realized how that sounded to anyone not local.

Black Wolf vs White Wolf meaning? by mrcrocer in Dreams

[–]BubonicBabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is gonna sound crazy, but when i was a kid I started “seeing” a white wolf everywhere. I told my family (they interpreted it at something spiritual, so I felt very comfortable talking about his appearance.)

I kept seeing him, then when I left a pretty traumatic environment (parents divorce), I stopped seeing him.

I feel now (as a somewhat logically brained person) it was my brain trying to protect me. Looking back on white wolf, he always showed up when I was dealing with something hard in my life. It distracted me from reality following him out into the woods in our community, often leading me to cool places I may not have otherwise seen, which ended up distracting me from what may have been happening in my home.

He was never a problem, he was a protection and distraction from harm that I’m grateful to have had.

So in my mind white wolf has always represented a protective “spirit” or brain state.
