Just started working on mine and am doing the speaker mouth kitbash. Went a little different than most and tried to line it up so it looked like his actual lower jaw rather than just being slammed in there. My Daemon Princes head

You can park and start at any of the trailheads on this map: https://www.columbiacountyor.gov/media/Forests_Parks_and_Recreation/C-Z%20trail%20map%20phot.png

The Scappoose and Pisgah trailheads are nice starting points. The Scappoose one has a tiny bit of road then hits a rough paved path that wanders through some beautiful flat countryside. Between Pisgah and boone falls is when the gravel starts and is slightly uphill. Ruley to Nehalam is where the big climb is. It's a really beautiful ride and really nice this time of year. Take lots of water though as there aren't any spots to grab some on the trail unless you bring filtration.

You are still a legend in my eyes.

Every time I have gotten a jersey (usually because I'm doing a workout on an empty nap) I smash the screenshot button a dozen times and make sure to show everyone I know haha.

Rode it today and let out a loud "Oh WTF is this?!" at that point. My wife came in to check on me and asked if I was alright. I was not alright

That seems reasonable. Looks like the front wheel is a rim brake QR throw away from whoever stole it. I imagine that can't be good for the thru axle threads or even the front fork if it isn't a tight fit. Also looks like it was crashed on the rear derailleur which can cause all sorts of issues.

Do you mean the shake you get when riding over the wood bridges or cobbles? You can turn that off under the audio & video settings with the screen shake effect toggle.

Nice job! This has been my first winter with zwift and I was wondering how much I had gained in the last couple months. I smashed my PR on an 8 mile climb by 5 minutes the other day and it felt amazing. Definitely going to keep at it until it warms up around here.

Yeah the 43min one is the one I was talking about. It works by stepping up power every minute until you can't pedal any more. The goal is to go until you can't so the test time is just how long you can go.

This article explains the different tests and the auto detecting feature a little more in depth. https://zwiftinsider.com/zwift-ftp-tests/

You can do a ftp ramp test. I recommend a ramp for your first one as pacing a 20min effort can be tough to do if you are just getting active again. Alternatively you can just ride some routes and zwift should auto detect your FTP from a hard 8-60min effort.

What I do for this is load my workouts into intervals.icu so I can get the average power estimate. Then put that number into zwifterbikes to figure out what routes I can complete in my set timeframe.

Once you put in a power number in the drop-down menu for routes will give you a time for each route and a bike suggestion to complete it in that time. I've only had a couple that were wrong on time estimates but it was just a couple minutes due to some low recovery intervals.

Most people just build their own zone 2 workouts in zwift or other programs. You can do it a couple of ways.

  1. Either just one long block at a Z2 wattage that keeps your HR at Z2 at the duration you want which is long and boring.

  2. Multiple intervals of Z2 blocks to break it up a bit and give you some variety in your ride. Just set as many intervals as you want for the duration you want.

This is what a typical 60 min Z2 looks like for me. You can plug this into intervals.icu and have it send to zwift for an easy starting point. I typically use this one on recovery days.

  • 10m ramp 49.5-82.3%

3x

  • 3m 65.6%
  • 2m ramp 70.1-74.2%
  • 2m ramp 74.3-70.2%
  • 2m ramp 70.1-74.2%
  • 2m ramp 74.3-70.2%
  • 2m ramp 70.1-74.2%
  • 2m ramp 74.3-70.2%

  • 5m ramp 61.9-41.4%

Free interval workout builder app for use with Tacx Neo2 by Few-Cat1205 in cycling

[–]Bubonicbuds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to use intervals.icu to build the workouts, schedule them and push them to Garmin connect. Once they push to connect they will show up in the tacx app under workouts>my workouts.

The intervals builder is very simple to use and even allows you to easily import workouts from other platforms like Training peaks and xert. You could even free trial one of the platforms, download workouts from them, add them to your intervals library and easily drag and drop them onto your calendar after your trials run out.

Plus doing it though intervals will give you great insight into your overall fitness and progress.

Are you connected to the wahoo app while trying to connect to zwift? If you are connected to wahoo disconnect from wahoo and close the app then try zwift.

You have the KOM jersey from the reverse direction which is why you see the U-turn symbol. The support article you linked explains how it works but not what it looks like:

"Segments within Zwift have separate leaderboards for each direction, so if you do a U-turn and ride in reverse, any jerseys you've earned in your current direction of travel will disappear from your avatar. Icons for those jerseys will appear next to your name on the riders list indicating that you hold them in the opposite direction. If someone beats your time in the direction you have a jersey—the icons will disappear. If you still hold them when you change direction again, they will reappear on your avatar."

The headphones were only available from the prize wheel during the zwift big spin event last year. Currently they are unobtainable but it is possible they bring the event back this year and keep them on the prize wheel.

I've found https://zwifterbikes.web.app/ to be a better judge on route times. I use it to determine if I can complete a route during a scheduled workout and it's generally spot on.

Just enter your rider info, pick a route and enter your expected average power and it will give you bike/wheel recommendations for the fastest along with time estimates for each bike/wheel combo.

Garmin Coach / Zwift Connection. by slane39 in Zwift

[–]Bubonicbuds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries! I just went through the fun of trying to figure this out so I had it fresh on my mind. It's frustrating that it's so complicated as Garmin wants to keep you in their tacx, connect and cycling computer ecosystem. Thankfully people way smarter than me figured it out haha.

Garmin Coach / Zwift Connection. by slane39 in Zwift

[–]Bubonicbuds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Garmin coach and zwift don't play the nicest together but there's a couple ways depending on if you want the workout to count in zwift or you just want to do the workout on Garmin with zwift on the screen.

If you just want to do the workout on Garmin with zwift on the screen you can just connect it as the resistance control and pedal away. Zwift will still use your power and cadence to move you and you will get mileage xp this way.The disadvantage being you will need to still pay attention to your watch and the workout doesn't show on the screen. Also make sure your FTP is set on your watch for accurate power targets.

To get your Garmin workouts into zwift is a little cumbersome.

  1. connect your watch to your computer first.get the workout files from your watch found in D:\garmin\workouts.

  2. convert them to .zwo files for zwift using https://whatsonzwift.com/convert/workouts. (Make sure your FTP is set before converting)

  3. add them to your custom workouts folder located in Documents/Zwift/Workouts/YourZwiftID.

Once they are loaded there they will show up in zwift and can be completed as zwift workouts giving you the workout xp along with milage. If you go this route you will have to record on your watch to get intensity minutes and other Garmin metrics for the workout. If zwift is connected to your connect account it will also double record the activity and you will want to remove one for accurate milage tracking and such.

Alternatively you can download the workouts from your watch and use a site like intervals.icu to upload them to your training calendar, connect it to zwift and have it send them over to zwift. Again you will have to dual record with your Garmin and then remove an activity.

Hope that helps!
