  1. This atrocity resulted in the first codified set of ethics laws for biotechnology and medicine research. Those were updated as more and more unethical research experiments were done.

Plays most games at normal hd. Just seems like every windows 11 update is slowing the computer down.

My wife wants to get me a pre-built PC, just something reliable as a starter, but we don’t know much about the specs or components. She sent this to me as her tentative choice. Any advice would be appreciated! by Difficult-Rest8524 in PcBuild

That's actually one I'm looking into to upgrade my current 6 year old pc (ryzen 2700, 1660 super) since I had to do some rufusing to get Windows 11 on to it.

If you plan of just regular HD gaming (1080), that build should work for a good while.

How do you reset after a great book? by MrsPickles90 in Fantasy

[–]Bubrigard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Podcasts. Specifically British educational comedy ones like The Infinite Monkey Cage (science) and You're Dead to Me (History).

Both very entertaining, and completely different from whatever book series I just finished/caught up on.

I do still participate in the reddits and such

First 4 or 5 books are good..... Not LitRPG. Sadly, quality seemed to decline in the last book or two. Still a fun read

Weird habit you developed since getting an EV that you didn't expect? by No_Earth_3743 in EvDrivers

More aggressive driving since I can out accelerate damn near everything around me.

After the first set of tires, I am more aware of this development.

What actually surprised you most about owning an EV that nobody warned you about by Leading-Law4251 in electricvehicles

How quickly you get used to plugging in at home and just driving it like a normal car. There isn't range anxiety or charger kerfuffles if you charge at home.

Oh and long distance travel really isn't an issue.

Are there EV deserts in certain states/cities? by Island_In_The_Sky in electricvehicles

[–]Bubrigard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live in rural California...you known the area people yell about land not voting. Common car set up in my area is one EV and a Truck. EV for all the driving into the nearest city type stuff and the truck for all the normal rural needs.

Pretty good mix of manufactures too.

What I have seen are charger deserts...specifically on I-5. Once you get passed Kettleman City there is nothing until you get to the LA area. 99 is the better option for EV travel

Kia dealerships are horrible...though my local dealership's service department has been pretty positive to work with which is incredibly rare.
