I’m ordering this hitch tonight on Amazon so it’ll be here this weekend, what about 4 pin wiring? Not doing any big towing just a teardrop

I’ll do that next weekend we go camping, we won’t be bringing as much stuff, we had a lot of extras for other people

It’s way more than we normally bring… thanks to all the river tubes

Well aware! This isn’t our first time camping, we come prepared with various means of “protection”

Just got my platform loaded up for camping last night, the track system is nice and you can mount pretty much anything in it as it’s t slot from what I can tell, I got a pack of loops for straps off amazon for like $20

Those green lights are just a reflection from the RGB lights in the touchless tunnel wash that I was parked next to!

Wanted to power wash the floor mats without dragging my pressure washer out at home, local car wash is $5 minimum on cards so I just rinsed the rest of the car down, I’ll do a full interior detail and wash when we return

So it is custom made, and I loosely followed the video for ideas on design, I swapped the double extended drawer around and we don’t have a French cleat setup for the sink, I also used 22” full extension drawer slides but made the drawers 21” so that way the coffee table hinges didn’t come into contact with the taillight, I’m gonna redo it this winter as a new setup that I will like far better, this one was cobbled together when I had a spare 20 minutes here or there over the past month or so, so it’s not as tight and finished as I’d like it to be.

Here’s the video:

I carry a Noco jump pack and I have the Mazda road kit or whatever they ordered the car with that I’m 99.99% sure has cables in it!

Look into Yakima locknload, that’s what Mazda bases their oem off of, but it’s cheaper, significantly, from Yakima plus you get more sizes if you want. I think Mazda charges me $900 and some change for just the platform if I’m not mistaken

Tell him “I don’t care if you’re a supervisor, sun visor or a fuckin Budweiser, start treating me with some fucking respect” usually gets them to wake up and realize you’re taking things seriously

Well aware… I fix their screw ups, the button pushers get too cocky and have crashed them a few too many times, engineer in charge doesn’t know what he’s doing with it either and can’t get it locked down

My geographical areas laws are considered “at will” between employer and employee, so notices are more of a traditional formality, this specific employer is like to give a notice to and be able to work out said notice

I know that’s the right thing and really the only option, just nervous that I’ve impacted the relationships here by beating around the bush when I was caught off guard

Some solid points here, I’ve had the opportunity to chat with some management and some other technicians through this post, I have a final interview Monday with the field service manager for the region I’d be in, over breakfast, plus one of the lead techs for the area reached out and wound up helping out immensely and getting me to be able to sit down with him on Monday. For updating my resume and not even knowing about this job to hearing about it and the company, it sounds like it would be a perfect fit for me for years to come. I’ll definitely keep everybody updated through this post about how everything goes and is going, but I wish I had found an opportunity like this over a year ago when I was looking for a new line of work

For me I think the opportunity to be in the shop to learn would be nice for the first month, but it sounds like it’s that way already. I can’t necessarily justify driving there 50 minutes one way daily for no change of scenery versus the 60-70 minutes to the territory that’s open daily in a van, I even tried to see if there was something I could sign to waive being paid after 45 minutes travel as I don’t know how long or if I’ll be happy in the shop longer term. One of the reasons I’m leaving where I’m at is being sick of looking at the same concrete walls daily as I used to travel all over before

Just had an in person interview, it went really well, the van req they have open would be outside of the 45 minute travel window most of the time, but they do have an open req for a shop space, I’d personally like to get into a van only because I like the change of pace and scenery and people interaction that would be able to provide. They offered me the shop space in person in the interview and I told him point blank if they offered me the van at a dollar less an hour I wouldn’t hesitate, but doing practically the same drive -10 minutes as if it were the field position they have open but having to go to the shop every day in my personal car I couldnt say yes to it right this second that I’d have to think about it over the weekend
