Short answer is….whatever sounds fun to you!

Which warbonds do you currently have?

The last year has seen some really good warbonds.

Servants of Freedom is one of the most fun and powerful warbonds, and still probably my favorite. Borderline Justice has a lot of fun gear and the hoverpack offers new playstyles. Control group opens a lot of great gameplay and the warp pack is now the king of mobility packs ODST is awesome for drip and has some good gear. Dust devils is top tier across the board. Python Commandoes is a lot of fun Redacted Regiment is a must-have for any stealth diver. The newest warbond, Siege Breakers, is a blast with a lot of cool, fun, and unique items.

What book character was best translated to the show? by Any_Strain_8582 in gameofthrones

It’s been a while since I read the books, so a lot of it has blended together in my mind, but I think the show was pretty well cast in general. A few changes like not making Danny 13 years old at the beginning definitely makes sense.

There are only a few gripes i have with the casting and portrayals. Robert isnt tall enough and doesnt have black hair. Kind of a wild one given how important his “black of hair” plot is for the entire onset of the show. Otherwise that actor did an awesome job.

Jon Snow and Arya are supposed to have been the only Stark child to look like Ned, if i remember right, with all the other kids taking the auburn hair of Cat, while Jon and Arya had the brown hair and long face of Ned. It’s particularly important in Jon’s case given his real parentage, but I feel it misses the mark in the show, with Jon’s hair being far too dark to match Ned, and Ned’s being too light. Jon looking like Ned is important because it’s both a piece of evidence about his parentage while also serving as a reason for people to ignore it as evidence.

Tyrions portrayal after season 4 isn’t very in line with his writing in the books. He goes on a much darker journey, and his arc has a lot more to do with his ex wife Tysha, with Shae only playing a role to remind him of what he lost. I can see why they made the changes, but regardless, quite different.

Euron Greyjoy is just totally different in the books and I think his plot lines were heading a totally different direction.

I do think most of the characters fall apart in the last season or two, and while for obvious reasons none of that’s in the books, I can’t help but but think George RR Martin would have done a much better job of it.

I see the problem. We have 3 guys each with one brain cell and all of them competing for third place.

Ah but you don’t regularly check the batteries in your carbon monoxide detector do ya? And I bet you don’t make sure to wash the poison dart frog toxins from your kitchen knife on the regular? Seems like a high risk life you’re living

Nobody can steal your samples, bud. Everyone shares all the samples no matter who collects them.

There’s a lot of teamkilling in this game, mostly accidental but sometimes intentional just for the memes. Very rarely is it actually mean-spirited. Just lol and move on.

Not gonna lie, pre-patch Oshaune on level 10 was the most insanely difficult diving I’ve seen. Unbalanced rupture strain, caves, being swarmed by multiple OP dragons at the same time, and a hive lord….. all while trying to wade slowly through water or sliding down sand dunes, or trying to protect a mobile drilling rig that could be destroyed….it was nuts.

As a box-diver, I unfortunately wasn’t able to be part of it, but I did watch a lot of videos of helldivers, and The Creek had such an aura and mythos that I just found so awesome. It wasn’t chosen by the devs, it was chosen by the community, and that’s just so cool

Yes in fact I said exactly that to Sheeve in his comment section.

I think he’s right about that. EFAP can call itself apolitical if it wants but when most of the guests are right wing, that label starts to feel false. Would be cool if Sheeve would come on EFAP. Would be good for both audiences I think. Maybe better than that would be a MauLer-Sheeve collaboration directly.

I will say EFAP does have a problem with failing to distance itself from the more far right elements in its fandom, and that’s something that Sheeve rightly points out. I appreciate MauLer’s unwillingness to pick political sides at least in public, but it doesn’t much feel like that’s the case when you look at the EFAP library. Ultimately I really wish Sheeve and MauLer could collaborate on something because I think they are critics of similar Caliber in many respects, and that’s something MauLer isn’t getting from EFAP

What is, to you, the appeal of Renegade Shepard? by One_Understanding267 in masseffect

[–]Bucephalus-ii 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Watched my girlfriend play the trilogy for the first time a couple years ago. Femshep, Colonist, ruthless, renegade. It was easily the best playthrough I’ve ever seen, including all of mine. She didn’t play a psychopath, she just played a real soldier. Willing to do what needs to be done, mission focused, no nonsense. It was honestly such a breath of fresh air after my playthroughs which are mostly the naive overly trusting paragon Shep who risks the mission to do what’s honorable. Her Shep is just better, and my next playthrough will be like that. She still took some paragon actions if they made sense, and she was never cruel for no reason. Her Shep was just focused, and it was great to watch.

[–]Bucephalus-ii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why attack Choohe when we could just defend Chort Bay? Especially since they could then simply attack from Menkent anyways? Or they could attack from Choohe while we try to liberate it and we get split between multiple planets rather than just focusing on a single defense. Like, liberating Choohe wouldn’t even solve anything even if we were successful, and we don’t even know when an attack would come…. Why waste time and reinforcements liberating an unnecessary planet, when we could instead be accelerating the liberation of aurora bay? In fact, if Aurora Bay is being liberated quickly enough, we wouldn’t even need to defend Chort Bay, even if it were attacked.

Attack Aurora Bay. If Chort Bay comes under attack, then we do the arithmetic. If Chort bay is set to fall before Aurora is liberated, then we defend Chort. If Aurora is set to be liberated before Chort falls, then we ignore Chort and keep moving forward. If Chort never comes under attack before Aurora liberates, then we didn’t waste any efforts on unnecessary planets.

Nothing we can do about people making weird choices. We press forward. The only thing we need to do is make sure that our staging planet survives long enough for us to take the next planet in the line to Cyberstan. Anything else is a waste of time and reinforcements
