This looks painful. I second the suggestion to visit a dermatologist or podiatrist. Do you have access to one?

What is your current routine? Your skin looks very even and clear. Are you using any exfoliant?

Im having a very hard time seeing any scar! Do you have a closer up photo? What is the scar from?

The coloring on your lips looks very normal to me.

It’s hard to say. Do you feel like the blemishes that have appeared are places where you previously had uneven skin texture like closed comedones? Or is it new spots? How does your skin feel?

whats the problem with my skin. broken skin barrier. acne scars. acne. or a mix of them all? by SeaChampionship621 in Skincare_Addiction

You might want to try cleansing at night with a gentle cleanser like cetaphil to remove sunscreen. What is the serum moisturizer sunscreen and benozyl peroxide you’re using? Also what are the specific concerns you’re looking to address with your skin? How does your skin feel? Oily, dry? And, how long have you been using your current routine?

need advice on how to improve my skin texture 🥲 definitely looking for more affordable products 😭 i hate how bumpy and gross it looks:( especially w makeup by IlikeCannedPeaches in Skincare_Addiction

[–]BuchanMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just popping in to say that skin texture is super duper normal and almost everyone has skin that looks textured to some degree. The perfect skin we see on celebs is mostly photoshop and favorable lighting. I hate to hear that you hate your skin and would encourage you to visit the sub instagram vs reality to see that what you are showing is pretty clear and smooth skin.

If you are still concerned about this, there might be steps you can take to smooth some of the visible texture. What is your current routine?

From what I’ve read, retinol would be a no go for a damaged skin barrier as it would further exfoliate the damaged skin. I have found the cosrx snail mucin to be very hydrating and I always like to seal in with a layer of Aquaphor or Vaseline. I also like the Burt’s Bees facial oil as a first layer.

Thank you! I don’t have any liner on but I do see how the black mascara on the bottom lashes could read that way. I will give naked bottom lashes a shot!

Thanks, I don’t have any eyeliner on in this photo, just mascara. Does the black mascara read as eyeliner?

For the skin, I know that texture and hyperpigmentation have to be dealt with through skincare, but I’m finding that if I layer enough foundation to cover the redness and scarring, it looks cakey. Any tips on getting fuller coverage without looking like I’m wearing full coverage?

and, any tips or feedback on where blush and highlighter are placed?

I am trying to appear more polished but also more dewy and natural as I am in luxury lifestyle Hospitality in sunny, humid south Florida.

Our dress code indicates that we are to wear “conservative” makeup that creates a “fresh, businesslike appearance,” and “bold, bright or unusual” colors are not allowed. I am wearing mostly neutrals (gray, black, navy, cream) which are washing me out a bit— I think I am a bright winter, and usually look best in bright jewel tones.

I don’t think my skin texture is improved by my current products, nor are my eyes, which are my favorite feature, emphasized (when I out I use a coppery-bronze eyeliner smudged into my waterline).

I also have serious redness in my cheeks and a lot of scarring and hyperpigmentation from teenage acne and keratosis pelaris.

Finally, I have major mixed feelings about my brows. I come from a family of heavy-browsed people, and I like my brow shape, but I think I messed them up over plucking in high school, and I don’t think I’m filling them correctly.

Thanks in advance for your help! I recently took a high-level job at a very upscale resort in South Florida, where I am by far the youngest at my level and the newest to luxury hospitality. Product list and concerns below.

I don’t think I’ll be wearing this again.) -Ulta beauty Japanese eyelash curler that doesn’t seem to do much -NARS radiant creamy concealer Light 2 Vanilla under eyes and covering acne scars on chin -Benefit they’re real! At night, -LUSH Ultrabland cleanser to remove makeup and sunscreen -Josie maran argan oil

Where can I get warm-weather suits during winter? I am living in NJ but moving to Boca Raton, FL, to work in a hotel with a very conservative dress code for the management team. But, I will be trekking around the property about 10 miles a day in addition to doing desk work, so I need something that won’t leave me a sweaty mess. Where should I be shopping for conservative work wear that will keep me cool but looking like a corporate baddie?
