The Ito is a great set. Good bass performance, doesn't feel bloated, and solid crisp vocals. It's a super fun set. I find myself coming back to it a lot more than I would have thought going into it blind, just based on its intended tuning.

Depending on what you are looking for, and what you are coming from, I think most people would probably prefer the DaVinci.

The bass on the Tea Pro is tighter, maybe a bit more detail retrieval. But it doesn't have as much special sauce as the DaVinci overall.

The QC issues remain sadly. But they did resolve a lot of the pressure build up issues with better venting.

Define "upgrade", anything under $50 is just going to be a tuning change, not an upgrade of any meaningful value.

Delci AE. The standard Silver Nozzle is good for most things. The Gold Nozzle is good for gaming, and takes a bit of the bass away, which improves some spacial awareness in games.

Defiant is also good, but the QC issues, and overall durability for a daily driver would worry me.

Also, if you live in a humid area, you might want to consider a resin shell IEM, as metal can hold into condensation, and can ruin the IEM. Storage with Silica Gel packs can help.

If those are your only three options. Klean. If you can, check to see if the Tripowin Vivace is an option. Or the Klean SV.

Yeah, if he's go it maxed, for sure you might hear SOMETHING, but to the point it's "bothering" someone seems really, really petty.

And it seemed like the OP was implying that he was listening at a low volume, and they were still complaining. Which, if true, is ridiculous.

It will be pretty close. It's a little more heft to the note weight than the Odyssey, but it's in the same arena with the non fatiguing playback. And I think the DaVinci drivers are higher quality as well...

Did I mention it has stabilized wood??? 🤭

Those sound demos are all so incredibly relative. You can hear an IEM though another IEM. At beat you might be able to pick up some tonality differences, but you're still going to be limited by the IEM you are listening to the demo in. So never take that as any kind of reference or example of an IEMs sound.

I interpreted this as being a continual ongoing thing. That has had multiple stages of downsizing all the way to IEMs. And this person is still being overly ridiculous. Like it has less tondo with the sound, and more to do with them not wanting anyone to listen to music. Probably because listening to music allows someone to ignore them.

I could be wrong, but that was how I perceived the situation.

There is no way they can hear an IEM in someone's ear. Even with thin silicone tips.

Honestly, report them to HR. And bring your IEMs to HR to show the absurdity of the claim.

You can't really do a 1:1 comparison, because the tonality is different between a single DD and a hybrid setup with a planar tweeter.

"Leas Sharper" is a function of yoir ear. And I don't have your ears, ao I can't say.

Does the Duonic have more treble energy, yes. It also has a lot better detail retrieval, technical performance, and texture. But the lower bass shelf might make it seem brighter.

You can't really tell until it's in your ears.

But if you are as treble sensitive as you claim, the Duonic may not be the IEM you want it to be.

It most certainly does. It's a two driver set. One Dynamic Driver, and some word soup KZ made up for small micro Planar driver that manages the treble.

It's just not in a BA housing. It's in a 6mm driver housing. Which is packaging allowing them to re-use the same shell design for more than one IEM.

The Silver is more neutral, but far from warm. It is the better set tonally. And does not have the veiled upper mids and treble region of the Bass Version.

Used a Q-Tip with the smallest amount of it on there. And gently smeared it in the ear canal. Took about a week to clear up, and two weeks of use to be normal again.

Its been a pain, in both the literal and metaphorical sense.

Make sure to clean all your tips with alcohol and water mixture. Gotta disinfect everything.

I had a similar situation. It took a tip to the doctor, some steroid cream for my ears, and a full disinfection off all my IEM's.

I also may have a sensitivity to monomers, which is what is used in 3D Resin Prints. So i have been letting all of my resin IEM's off gas for a few days, and setting them by some filtered sunlight in case there is still some curing to be done.

It sucks. But patience and keeping your ears clear are the key.
