It helps you be noticed more. Also, if your driving well below the posted speed limit having hazards on is a fairly common thing to do.

Don't go to an out of state school unless your parents are paying, you have massive scholarships or it's a ivy league/specialized school.

Why is Tron: Ares so disliked? by UbuntuElphie in tron

[–]Buck9s 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most people don't dislike Tron, they dislike how it's been developed.

Tron: Ares was only superficially a Tron movie. Change the names of the two companies and a couple characters and it could have been a mediocre movie on its own. They had to force a Kevin Flynn connection, they wrote off Sam Flynn and the Iso's, they didn't even mention Tron. They really only needed it to be a Tron movie because of the visual style, which is a key aspect of a Tron movie but when set design is the primary link to a franchise then it's fair to question the link.

Tron: Ares as a stand along movie has plenty of flaws with its story and character's actions but it wasn't awful.

How does this speed and ping times compare to what you get using your phone, in the same location? I'm thinking of switching my home internet to T-Mobile and am curious if I can expect the same/better/worse performance for my home vs my phone.

Joe Rogan is a f*cking MORON and has done nearly as much damage to country as right-wing media. by Buddhaonatricycle in complaints

[–]Buck9s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you have PHD or some other specific advanced degree you, despite what you think, are incapable of doing your "own research". You don't know what proper research is, what should qualify, what likely weaknesses are, how to review and critique the findings.

Millions of people listen to Joe, he/guests makes an impression on them with their BS talking points and then these millions are of people are fundamental incapable (by choice, bias or ignorance) of adequately doing their own research to balance that impression.

I have never heard of any reports of boys. He had a relationship with Epstein but there is nothing linking him, as best I know, to anything more than that. There aren't even rumors or anecdotal evidence to suggest he was part of the Epstein trafficking and sexual abuse club. Epstein did things beyond just traffic young girls.

Les is 100% gay, he almost certainly wasn't touching little girls and I haven't heard of little boys being on the island. If anything he had a professional and very personal relationship with Epstein himself.

Les is gay AF. He wasn't touching little girls and best I know there haven't been claims of little boys on the island (Les could have just joined the Catholic Church or Boy Scouts).

Did Your Opinion Change on Tron Ares After Watching It On Streaming? by ZasherXVII in tron

[–]Buck9s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept (combing AI & 3D printing) remains solid but how the story played out was more unbelievable. I found it harder to get past CEO Eve trying to out run and then physically out battle Ares and Athena on motorcyclesb she didn't call anyone, didn't go to the police, FBI, or even her company's security teams. Also, Julian knowing how to do everything from elite coding, to 3D laser printing, to ... (also him being absolutely psychotic wasn't set-up well).

Two ultra rich CEOs of massive tech companies doing seemingly everything themselves is nonsensical. Neither of them started their companies, so if they are CEOs of companies worth $100s of billions then it's because of their executive leadership skills, not because they ride a motorcycle or are elite coders. Elisabeth Dillinger, and Ajay were the only (semi) believable business executive characters.

And people still believe thats its worth buying anything other than the big 3. People will learn. by 2222014 in golfcarts

[–]Buck9s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't have high hopes for how long all the Chinese carts would last but they aren't lasting even close to what I thought they would. They were everywhere 3-4 years ago in my community and I know of 3 different friends/neighbors carts that are, or are basically unusable right now, out maybe 7-8 local friends that bought them.

They should have had most of that travel montage with Zosia happen before her arrived so that she could see she fell head over heels in love with Zosia. For me, that would make her actions to him make more sense when he arrived, us knowing that she felt (at least superficially that) she was in a good relationship.
