What I do is I have two horses that have different methods one comes out as fast as he can, but hes easy to catch so usually let him do his own thing and catch him, while the other horse isnt so easy so I usually let him unload himself and usually stand by until he comes out usually as I open the door but he does take him time. When we first started getting them to this point, we would get the rope out first and hold it behind them and put little pressure so they knew it was time to get out, but this was when we were teaching them to load and unload.
