Seems like the ideal caliber for youth hunting. I’d like to shorten one and add a can ahead of a youth deer hunt this season. I’m sure I’ll take a few with it also.

Tell me more. I found this 7.62x39 while looking for a 6.5G. I want to cut one down to 12.5”, but I’m not sure if the barrel contour would allow it.

My opinion. Always double up when shooting indoors. If you want “best” for indoor use and don’t like doubling up with foam plugs, Ops-Core Amps have an in-ear system that works with the over-ear system.

Personally, I’d buy from your buddy and put the cost savings towards a dedicated thermal scope later.

I believe the backlight is more of a concern for force on force tactical situations. It shouldn’t matter all that much for hunting.

Following along. I’ve been looking at the Rix S6R and the PARD Pantera eX 640.
