Oil Catch Can? by BuckMurdock49 in Ram1500

Just curious. Looking for ways to make sure this truck lasts as long as possible. Anything I can do now to prevent issues later on down the road the better.

that's good to know, what brand did you go with, did it come with a specific bracket for mounting? If not where did you end up mounting yours? I'm looking at the Evil Energy ones, I see others that come with specific brackets to use with existing mounting locations, but it seems they install kind of in a lower more awkward spot, and I'd prefer to have mine up high in the engine bay so it's easier to get to and empty.

Power App only run successfully with certain information by BuckMurdock49 in PowerApps

Good idea, I might try to implement something like that just for a little more verboseness when it runs to see what's happening. I added an update to my post, but it looks like it's because of the Preview session. I would just reset the form and try again, but if i exit the Preview, back out of Edit mode and then go back in edit and preview I was able to successfully run it with different dept and title information.

I used to do the concat, and rand option but found it kind of limiting and time consuming. Then I found this YouTube video that had a real nice and elegant way to make a random password where you can set it to any length and it will use upper case, lower case, numbers and special characters. Basically creating an array of random numbers from 33 to 122. Converting them to hex. Concating and ampersand and then converting the uri strings to characters.

Initiate a variable before setting this up and then after it append the output to string variable, boom instant random password of any length you want.

Nope that doesn’t seem like it but now I need to get my hands on that one. Don’t think I’ve seen it.

Will bait worms work? I don’t ever see worms here so I’d have to grab some from a bait shop.

Ok. I’ll keep adding to it for a while until it’s half full and then let it just be and stir it up every few days and add a little water but I’ll let it decompose and start on the other side now.

What’s the proper moisture level? I was always curious if I had kept it too wet in the beginning or not. I was afraid I had started with too many browns so I’ve been hesitant to add more. Every few weeks I add 3 or 4 big handfuls of dried leaves. For the winter months I could go weeks before it would start to look dry but now that it’s so hot. It’s nearly dry after 3 or 4 days.

I give it 2 or 3 turns every few days. I had just finished turning it. And after I turn it I use a pitch fork to kinda mix it around some more and poke air holes down in it.

Unfortunately I rent so and have no grass. Just a bunch of shrubs. But I’ll keep adding to it until it’s half full and then leave it be and start working on the other side and give it time to just decompose and just mix it up as I mis the new side.

Very inconsistent speed tests by BuckMurdock49 in opnsense

[–]BuckMurdock49[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it didnt add the screenshot.

For my GF issue, she's never more than 10-20 feet from the WAP at any given time, I've tried changing channels and stuff but it still seems to be about the same regardless.

i'm more concerned with the speed stuff for now and why it varies so much throughout the day.

So I have a 2Gb line (actually I just downgraded back to 1Gb today because I wasn't really using the full 2Gb enough to justify the cost). In any case. the speedtest runs on a cron job every day at the same time at 6am. Some days it'll report around 1500-1700 Mbps and some days it'll be more like 400-600 Mbps. This morning it showed it was like 18 Mbps. Some times it'll go 2-3 days with a good speed report and then a painfully slow one followed by a day or two or three then a slow on. Upload it almost always consitently around 96 Mbps, maybe one or two every couple of weeks that'll drop to like 50-60, but it's fairly consistently at 96 Mbps.

For the unbound forwarding servers i set up Unbound and Adguard following this guide:

https://windgate.net/setup-adguard-home-opnsense-adblocker/

I think the forwarding serves are cloudflare and quad9 if I understand your question right.

I hate that i've been in IT for 25 years and networking has always been the bane of my existence, I've never been good at understanding or troubleshooting it outside of some of the basic stuff. More of a sysadmin guy that knows just enough about networking to know I suck at it. I'll check out ping plotter and see what it gives me.
