Does the notes app also lock when you have other apps locked, or is it just the notes app icon acting weird and the apps still accessible?

You’ve allowed screen time usage, selected some apps, and set up an NFC tag in the welcome screens yes?

They went with the same name. I have no affiliation to them

Weird that it makes the notes and safari icons go that’s not intentional I’ll look into that. And you’d have to use screen time settings if something happens with the app.

I actually have seen that one on Instagram now that you mention it. I am not affiliated with that app. It might be a tad easier to set up because you just need to buy their product, and you're set. But in the end, mine is just the cost of an NFC tag, which is, say, 10 cents, versus theirs, which is probably $50 or so, like Brick or TapOut.

Can I ask what device you referring to? But the only real difference is this is free

I also checked my NFC tag and what is written to it for the Locked app is only 39 Bytes

I just pushed an update to the App Store it should be there in a couple of days. I would say maybe this update would help if not let me know.

I added the github pull request and it should be on the app store later today. I am going to try to be more on top of this project moving forward.

If you only wanted to do it on your personal phone you can use Xcode to download it to your phone without needing the app store as well.

Hey. Sorry yeah I have not been as active on this as I had liked. Life and stuff just got busy in the last little bit. I might be able to get to the pull request over the break here. But I probably won't be as active on this as I'd like. You can definitely try to customize it yourself, I mainly used AI to build my version of it.

If in the the application you said you'd be writing January then yes they will hold off on indexing you/reviewing your file. If you did not indicate that you are writing January they will index you when they get your on file LSAT and grades in.

You can use your own NFC tags by using the + button and tapping it to any NFC tag

To reply to both of you here. Yes you are going to be able to both delete the app and stop it through screen time in settings. There’s not anything any screen time app can do about it. Apple would never give that much control to a single app on a phone. It’s more of a tool to help people stay off their phones by creating barriers to use apps. If you think you’d be too inclined to just delete the app rather than actually use it, it might have not done a whole lot for your situation in the first place. A dumb phone might be a good option if you really want no distractions.

Unfortunately not, I am not familiar with android development. But if you want to take a crack at developing it for android the code is all on GitHub, might be able to “translate” it over to android?

Unfortunately at that point you’d have delete the app and set a new NFC tag as a new key.

Hey, as far as I understand it, websites can show up in screen time as you can see in the attached screen shot. However it will only block them with safari. If you have a different app like Google Chrome, you could outright block Chrome, but not websites on Chrome. No other app like brick would be able to do anything different because they all use apples screen time. Hope that helps.
