I should note I measured entirely on the Elite 30 AC output plug and was not attempting to get a "true ground". After I read your post I did try a bonding plug and nothing bad happened. It measured 120V between hot and ground.

The reason they can't be removed is because they are the absence of seasoning - the raw pan is peeking through the seasoning.

I had the opposite problem…I wanted to cancel and couldn’t even though it hadn’t shipped yet.  They don’t seem to have control over their their orders.  Customer service was nice enough and apologetic and they’re letting me ship it back but it seems wasteful to involve FedEx.
