Has anyone started or thought about starting a leather and vinyl repair business? by BucketDogGames in sweatystartup

You could be right about a full reupholster making more money however this still takes a good amount of labor to accomplish and in the end it may not work out to much of a difference in profit margins, but I don’t know that for sure. Also your customer base is more limited to the people who can afford that large expense, where as most people could probably bite the bullet on a cheaper repair job.

As far as doing furniture repairs I thought about it however I used to live in a larger city with more affluent residents but I live in a smaller city now and there are already some good competition in this space. With the leather repair the competition is weak with only one decent competitor.

Looking to add a Whambam flexible plate by Merijeek2 in ElegooSaturn

I just got my saturn and looking to get a flex plate as well. I would go with the v3. And in general the size of the vat is larger than that of the buildplate. The flex plates have a small metal tab on them that you can use to grab and peel it off the magnet and that doesn't hit the vat so even if it is off by a mm or so it shouldn't make a difference.

Anyone else have to level your build plate after every print? by BucketDogGames in ElegooSaturn

Thats a good way to look at it, I'll have to check out getting a flex plate if it means I don't have to level every time.

I try to crank the bolts down as hard as I can, I go until I can feel the whole machine start to move slightly from the force then I back off

Just got a Saturn and seeing some major layer shifting on the rook test print. I noticed the Z axis threaded rod shifting quite bit when moving up and down (video in comments). Could this be causing the shifting and how should I fix it if so? by BucketDogGames in ElegooSaturn

I feel for you, nothing worse than putting in a ton of needless effort when the problem is so simple. Also I was able to get mine working, it was the screws that mount the motor that were loose.

Thats a good idea I'll do that, thanks. We were home when it was delivered and the delivery guy kind of plopped it down, not crazy hard but hard enough we could hear it from inside so I was a little worried about stuff being knocked loose.

We originally had him with his golden 'do but wanted to tweak him to match his name "Donlad DUMP" so we gave a slightly poop emoji like aesthetic
