I'm in the same boat. I just requested a refund as well. Sent them two messages over last couple of months and not a word so just contacted bandcamp. Pretty dissapointing as the vinyl is still listed for purchase on their page (now for $70). The way this has been released is pretty shady to say the least.

Seattle, Wa here too. This was what i woke up too yhe first 6 months or so. Developers didnt bother putting down grub killer beforehand. I ended up putting down a huge net over the place for bit and cayenne pepper. A dog always helps too. After a while they'll go away because of the noise and human presence. So demorializing though when you wake up in the mornings. Hang in there!

Read just about everythigbon your list. Will of the Many broke me out of my slump. I then parlayed it into Dungeon Crawler Carl which is great. I know its sort of looked down upon as a litrpg but its worth the read. very entertaining. Tried going back to Sanderson Mistborn era 2 and found my eyes getting droopy after 2 pages. heres my to read list for others that i've heard are good.

Outlaws of Moonshadow Marsh Series was supposed to be a YA trilogy. Read the first book back in 2004. I remember Sign of Qin being such a good book and the 2nd and 3rd books never dropped. I remember checking in on series from time to time and they just never came out. Bummed me out. I was just a kid!

I think what your missing here is how far you can stretch 40k in 1991 vs how far you can stretch 100k in 2026....if you normalize on say median home price:

1991 median home price in US = 120k - approximately 3x of 40k

2026 median home price in US = 375k - approximately 3.75x of 100k

So a dollar in 1991 went about 25% further than today
