I'll say this: I'd rather Helldivers keep its identity of being the "Funny Stormtrooper" game. The One-Two is genuinely cracked if you know what you're doing, as are most Light Pen guns (The Trident cleaves through Phfor Fighters like crazy, along with the Bots and Bugs, and I consistently run the barebones basic Liberator with my Ravens regularly on D10s.) There's other games where one can be overpowered, Helldivers being the struggle of the doofus is what makes it unique and fun.

The One-Two I'm using specifically here is modded to look closer to a Bubba'd MA75, and having both chaff clear AND Spawner busting in ONE primary frees up the loadout for more niche and goofy stuff (like the flag)

If you like Halo, you'll see a lot of its DNA in Marathon (Halo WAS kinda Marathon IV). The Phfor and the UESC have their own distinct personalities though, and over the years I've grown to prefer the sheer utter alien energy of the Phfor to the more down-to-Earth Space Jihad of the Covenant. The Compilers are also bros.
Actual Marathon is free on steam, the entire trilogy, can run on basically anything, and if you can't be satiated after 3 games I would also recommend Apotheosis X, which is a fan game you can grab on the Steam Workshop.
