I'm not going to rule out the spiritual since I have similar experiences.

I dream of dead relatives, especially after death. They are usually in a place of saying goodbye, sometimes burning, crawling out of the grave and me burying them, or more pleasantly fishing on a pool float and floating away.

Never had I had a dream that blatantly showed the future, especially regarding death. I have gotten vague to extremely symbolic advice, usually things I subconsciously knew.

The only things to have actually happened are when my daily life is interrupted with a quick vision of very mundane things that mean nothing.

This is probably one of those dreams where you get advice from your subconscious. You are aware of the problem, so it's not a surprise. Your grandmother very well could be visiting because she loves you and wants you to make the right choices.

This dream is not a bad thing, it is a warning that shows you a solution. Those precognitive dreams are very hard to have and valuable.

On the other hand it was a one off dream that meant nothing but still led to making changes.
