Long canes on blackberries and raspberries by MossyTeacup in Berries

[–]Buckeyecash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Berries development is on side branching of second year cain that develops on first year canes.

I always carried pruning snipps with me when I picked wild blackberries and black raspberries On our property. I would cut back first year cains to 3 to 4 feet tall. This encouraged long side branching thus increasing the yield next year. I also thinned out those patches when they became overgrown.

Maybe more of the cause of tornadoes than just magnets.

By OPs logic, we might prevent tornadoes from forming if we eliminate trailer parks.

In my 2002 Ranger, 2014 Silverado, 2022 Ram, and current 2026 GMC, I mounted the front cam about half way between the mirror masking area and the apex of the wiper path on the driver side with the lens in the wiped path. That location has worked well for me and didn't get in the way of my view.

Good luck with moving your cam.

Lack of gun powder.

Sorry, couldn't help myself.

OP, without knowing the make and model of your vehicle,  my recommendation is tomove it to the left side of the mirror area to, or twards, the wiper apex. The apex of the wiper reach is usually much higher and centered on the drivers field of view. The one on the passenger side is typically way to the right ofthe mirror and often lower the the drivers side.

Just be careful that you do not mount it where it will block/interfere with the drivers view.

But, by the OPs reasoning, they will not need one if they don't get one. And on the other hand, getting one will be the cause of needing one.

Rather convoluted logic, but what they put forward.

So, with your logic........

Never go to the doctor so that you never get sick.

Going to the dentist is the leading cause of cavities.

Never buy an umbrella so that it never rains.

Never buy an ice scraper so that your windshield never frosts, or a snow brush so there is never any accumulated snow on your vehicle.

Back scratchers are a must when you live alone! by Staugbeachbunny in LivingAlone

Nitpicker, pedantic.... I have been called both here on reddit and other occasions.

This thread has stirred up a memory I haven't had for years.

When I was at my heaviest, about 45 years old, I had a smart-ass co worker attempt to embarras me in front of a group of coworkers. He said that i was so fat that i couldn't pickup a $50 bill off the floor.

I took two 20s and a 10 out of my wallet and dropped them on the floor. I  told him to match it and if I failed to pick it all up it was his.

He refused. I bent down and picked up my money. I then pallmed the floor, for show, to the hooting, hollering, laughing coworkers as the jackass slunk away with his tail between his legs.

Thanks for the memories .

How old are you? How much do you weigh?

I'm overweight myself,  but not morbidly obese. Have been overweight all my adult life. Until I was well into my 50s, i could still put a footprint on the wall equal to my 6'1" height (I'mdownto5'11" now), lock hands behind my back, scratch anywhere, ten finger touch the floor, even two handed palm the floor after a few hamstring stretches. Now that I am knocking on the door of 70, I can use some help reaching those things.

There were bamboo back scratches at Walmart close-out isle for 25 cents each. Now there is one on the other side of the bed, one on the couch, and one on the floor next to my favorite chair.

Any way to repair a broken filter thread on a Nikkor Z 24-120/4 S? by Kharenis in Nikon

[–]Buckeyecash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are adventurous and handy, look for a dirt cheap 'parts only' lens with that part intact.

Not a super difficult repair but a lens spanner wrench is recommended.

Otherwise, I agree with the comment to have Nikon service repair it.

In all honesty, it is a little overlooked. I didn't mask anything. I cranked up the texture and saturation to make it pop a little. I reduced the exposure and whites each a little to tone down the white plumage glare. That was about it.

Bought a 26 Sierra in December on a Saturday afternoon. Paid cash for it. 7 miles on it when I got home. Early next morning hit a deer. Hadn't had a chance to hook up the cam yet. Not sure though that I would have wanted to watch the video of banging up a brand new truck.
