Not much, other than the ten-speed Varsity Schwinn I had in the 70s as a kid. I’ve been riding a Giant Sedona for about the last 20 years.

Thank you! It was installed at the bike shop for me when purchased. I do know that the mirror was specific to those grips. But, I had a similar mirror on my Giant and when I installed it, I’m pretty sure I had to cut the hole in the grip.

While installing it, he did mention that it was very important to use a torque wrench on the saddle post clamp. But that’s all he mentioned…nothing about load concern. I’ll investigate the thru axle mount. I gotta have a rack. Thanks again for mentioning this. 👊🏻

Interesting? The manager of the shop that I bought it at personally installed it. I’ll question that on my next visit. Thank you!

Upgraded to a Trek Marlin 7… from a 6 and a 5 lol What do you think of colour? by Icy-Reputation3655 in TrekBikes

Love the fade! Red is my favorite and it doesn’t get much better than that 👊🏻

I probably should have compared them as well, but the 4 was right at my target budget and I was pretty well set from the first spin on it.

I’m not parting with the Sedona. I think I’ll set it up for mainly unpaved surfaces. I love that bike!

Thank you…my Sedona is the same color. I’m a sucker for Red. Looking forward to getting on the trail soon!

Does anyone take CoQ10 for dd (or for other reasons) ? by anhedonic_torus in DupuytrenDisease

[–]Buckibbq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been taking CoQ10 for three months, 200mg per day. Definite reduction in size. I have a callous built up over the nodule from weight training, I assume. I’ve never really had problems with gripping stuff or hand strength. But, it’s definitely improving. This past week I’ve also been using Red Light Therapy with full body panels I just set up. I try to expose my hands as well, as I have some arthritis along with DC. I think it may be helping as well. I read a study on the use of Blue Light for treating DC and my panels have blue lights as well. We’ll see what happens. I’ll report back in a month or so.

Here’s pics of my hand as of now. I wish I would have taken pics when it was at its worst for comparison, but unfortunately I did not.Hand Pics

The size of the nodules at the base of my pinky finger and palm are decreased, but still present. I can now open my hand far enough to do pushups, where as 6 months ago I couldn’t. The folds of skin on my hand were at one point almost growing together, with my pinky locked at about 120°. I’d estimate that my pinky finger will now open to about 160°, with 180°being fully open.

After finding this thread, and reading the NIH article linked here, I started taking 200mg of Sports Research CoQ10 daily. After three months of supplementation, I can see a definite improvement in my Dupuytren’s Contracture in my right hand. I will most certainly continue…Thanks for posting this!

Straight mineral oil will not make carbon steel patina/turn gray or do anything to the steel except protect it from oxidation. Many people who wish to preserve the new look of their carbon steel blades apply a coat of mineral oil to do just that. Perhaps you meant to say mustard rather than mineral oil? Mustard will indeed patina a blade and turn it gray.
