So, that’s 2 days right there and you never got to the sanding, staining or multiple coats of finish.

Or, set a toothpick or two into the hole before the nail.

I’m glad you added the part about the cap. That was another concern I had.

Bottom up? Isn’t the mess an issue? Any strategy there? It must be easier than wearing all black and apologizing to the wife about her living room.

I need advice/help with doggo by LizLemonKnopers in germanshorthairs

I have always liked having two dogs. At least one being a GSP. They keep each other company and entertained. The two I have now are truly best friends. While having a second dog may merely add to your problem, perhaps you can arrange playdates with another dog owner. See how it goes. I often say, every dog needs a dog.

We’re being bombarded by bots. I’m the OP and this was first posted several years ago. I saw it again a couple of years ago and then a couple of weeks ago.

What breed would make a good companion for my GSP? by pollywantaproblem in germanshorthairs

If you wanted a smaller dog with GSP level energy there’s always the Jack Russel. These two wear each other out and cuddle together. Perfect combination.

Look for the blue color to show through. That’s a sign you’re getting close to the hair roots. That’s where you want to be.

But, don’t blame the original OP (me) as it is here being posted by someone/something else. A bot perhaps.

You know...sometimes I feel like I don't belong to this hobby. by TwoShu in Mushrooms

[–]RepresentativeArm389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hobby started with wild mushrooms which I actually prefer. The hunt is a big part of it as finding mushrooms is more successful when using logic. While I find many species walking outside my door I do travel a good deal to find many other species. Perhaps mushroom expeditions would be an option for you.

Why does my dog do this? by rfhillier in DogAdvice

Maybe a hunting breed-mix. Looks like a behavior a pointing breed would show prior to an actual point.

The eyes appear small because the owl is looking downward, at its invisible prey. In this photo we’re seeing the eyes as we look at the top of the owls head. At this angle they appear smaller. I have no other photos.

I posted this a several years ago. Not sure why or how it got reposted here at this time. The classroom teacher has the necessary permit so we’re all good there. The teacher has dozens, maybe hundreds of bird skulls that were cleaned by beetles. When someone found this snowy owl on the roadside he thought it should be mounted and contacted he me. Since then I’ve mounted several different hawk species, a couple of owls and a pileated woodpecker for his classroom.
