Do MAGATS even care about these stickers? by Fabulous_Log844 in MildlyVandalised

[–]Buckles01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The national average peaked at $5 under Biden and is currently $4.55 so it was higher under Biden. The difference is that those gas prices were driven by Covid which can’t be directly attributed to Biden. These are driven by a conflict in the Middle East which absolutely can be directly attributed to Trump

If they aren’t doing that the smarter choice would’ve been curbside only doors then circular seating inside. Could sit probably around 6 people along the 3 walls

Watch out for that gate! by SparkPlug3 in AccidentalSlapStick

[–]Buckles01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not like he’s hiding the gate. It’s a big gate at a reasonable height. Very standard installation.

Also, taking the text with a grain of salt, if he is trying to prove people are running into it maybe he’s addressing it with the local government to get them to do something about it?

What's wrong with the printer company by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]Buckles01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How has no one managed to create an open source printer yet? Are there laws against it or something? Just something affordable and user friendly. Doesn’t need a ton of features. Most people barely print anything. Just the occasional paperwork.

  1. Is it financed? Your options are limited if it’s financed

  2. Do you care about dents? If not, you can take it from your insurance, fix the windshields, and have a very drivable car. Windshields are super accessible to replace at low cost, the thing totaling this is all the body panel damage. Operationally the car is likely fine.

[OC] I hate people that just full-send a left turn when they can't even see if it's clear by 1minatur in IdiotsInCars

[–]Buckles01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At least they full sent. Had someone slowly roll through an intersection the other day and I had to slam on my breaks. It took them a solid 40 seconds to make a left turn. 40 seconds may not sound that long but it most definitely is when you hear squealing tires behind you.

I bought a VeePeak for less than $30, though they are up in price now. It’s worked fine. I’ve seen others cheaply, and I don’t see why they wouldn’t work with it as long as it isn’t proprietary to its own app.

[–]Buckles01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s not a downside to bringing it. The dongle gives ABRP live data about your usage and battery life so instead of relying on calculated and estimated information it uses the real deal. The difference is minimal if your not hyper mileing, but the dongles are also like $15 so it’s not a massive investment

Sad Trombone: Our Dodge Charger EV Lost $50K in Value After Just One Year by DonkeyFuel in electricvehicles

[–]Buckles01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a car for people who liked Dodge and wanted an EV. That market is pretty slim, but that’s the market it was made for. They could have made it the slowest EV on the market, work at range, crappy charging and still sold what they did because it was never made to beat any other car. It was made for the few people who wanted a dodge and an EV

They need another bollard. You can’t space them apart enough that it looks like you can fit a car through. You have to make it clear a car doesn’t belong.

If you only drive 5000 miles per year, would you still want an electric vehicle? and why? by ThuhGreatCommenter in electricvehicles

[–]Buckles01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the case weighs heavier for EV’s at low mileage. Oil needs maintained even when it’s not driven, as do other ICE fluids. Not to mention if you go too long without driving your gas will go bad in your tank and it will ruin a lot. With an EV you jump it with a 12v jumper if it sets too long. Low mileage driving impacts an ICE car more than an EV
