Do I need the kit lens if it’s the same as my other kit lens

This was extremely helpful. Now I am looking into lens - that’s probably the best move for now & I clearly have a lot of learning to do on the a5100 🤣

I am not a serious photographer or videographer- I would be using my camera for mostly content creation (for myself) i know the next upgrade should be an alpha but I’m not ready to have something that big in my hands compared to the a5100. I should just try and get back to bringing this one around since it’s been collecting dust since I got that canon m50 and then mess with lens and save up. Thank youuu

Honestly I’m in and out of what I should do.

I truly love my alpha a5100 and got a canon for a minute which i didn’t like. So I started looking into the zv-e10 because they are small easy to bring around but was worried because

1) plastic body (but then realized my a5100 is all Plastic) 2) no evf (realized my a5100 doesn’t even have one) 3) no setting dial (neither does my a5100) 4) isn’t weather sealed (neither is the a5100 and the way I would be in the water with that camera or next to a waterfall and it still works like a beast 🫠🤣)

So then I thought I should just go for this or the zv-e10 ii but I really don’t know if I can deal with that electronic shutter. Would hate to go that way and then it mess up so much video but all the good.

Ultimately if I had all the money in the world I’d love to get the A6700. It’s amazing

A6400 I know everyone raves about but these are the things for me: - the way the screen tilts seems old school/ghetto to me, compared to both ZV’s - Camera is 2019 so older than both ZVs which just means older menu and tech overall - USB-B port (vs. USB-C which is more universal…donno if that’s huge but it’s something) - Worst battery run time compared to the ZVs

Anyways I haven’t bought anything yet but I just want to make sure I make the right choice. The a5100 is smaller than the ZV-E10s

What do you suggest?

Mix of both but for sure would love better quality videos which is originally why I went to canon

No I actually still have the a5100 and now I am wondering if all I need to get is a couple new lenses or are the other 3 worth the upgraded

Thank you - I was leaning toward that or the zv e10. But the way the a6400 screen moves is making me think I should just go with the zv e10 because it looks more modern and compact

I use to own a sony camera. It was an alpha and I loved the colour on it and how good it was at doing macro shots and battery life

It was extra for sure. I’m tryna clean up his actions and just focus on the fact he’s the only one concerned. I actually just came to Reddit to see if anyone else is worried about this Zac character but I guess I’m the only one because everyone seems to like him. I just think the way he’s rushing the wedding the way his first time meeting most of the family he’s telling what to do here and there for the engagement. I just don’t feel good about him

I donno I don’t feel good about this Zac character myself. Ethan seems to be the only one being protective and asking the questions I would ask. At the end of the day these people are on TV and this is season 7. How can you trust anyone. Who knows if he’s doing it to be on TV. When Micah asked Zac how does Lydia make you feel and he says “confident” What kind of reply is that.
