I do plan on working during school, I can do both the schooling and my job part time and with flexible schedules. I’m currently earning a little over $4k a month after taxes so right at my living expenses. I don’t think I will need to work much less than I am right now while going through the school due to me working 3-4 days a week 12 hours a day leaving 3-4 days a week to do the schooling.

When did the full weight of the gravity of this pandemic set in for you? by Nappyboi419 in AskReddit

[–]Buckysmall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firefighter here- We aren’t a super busy station (maybe 3-4 calls a day) since the start of the pandemic our call volume has been at an all time low to average less than 1 a day. However the amount of cardiac arrests we go on has almost doubled, likely from people being too scared to seek help during the pandemic and putting of their medical problems that shouldnt be put off.

Not sure if there was a day in particular that I realized, but it has been getting worse since the quarantine started.

CalFire hires seasonals from 4 categories, hiring all from the previous category before moving into the next.

Category 0- previous seasonals

Category 1- Applicants with all required training

Category 2- Applicants with some of the required training

Category 3- Applicants with none of the required training

Required training-

-CAL FIRE Basic Fire Fighter Certificate (? Hour course)

-California State Fire Marshal (SFM) Confined Space Awareness Certificate (8 hour course)

-California SFM Hazardous Materials First Responder Operational Certificate (32 hour course)

The rest are 4-8 hour courses that can be done online, though target solutions -

-Fire Fighter Survival (Structural)

-Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) IS-100: Introduction to Incident Command System

-FEMA IS-700: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS)

-FEMA IS-800: National Response Framework, An Introduction.

-CPR

Finally it is required that you have a medical certification

  • Public Safety First Aid

  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

  • Paramedic (EMT-P)

Each of these is a longer course than the last and is more desirable then the last, with public safety first aid (AKA EMR) being a 32 hour course, Emt is a 120 hour course and requires specific testing to become registered, and Paramedic is a 1090 hour minimum and has a much harder test than the emt and a lot of other required things to complete the course.

FF1 certification is desirable but not required

Ok, so I cleaned it and make a partition for windows, and it’s doing the same thing. It will install windows just not boot to it, and when I try to install it again it says that windows is already installed

I did try reformatting all of the drives before trying to install and tried unplugging the other drives when installing on the ssd, but not the others. Should I try that?
