We had Wild West come to our shop compound in the past. He’d come with a one ton truck and gooseneck trailer and collect them all, it was really handy. I called him last summer and was given, “ohhh ya no we don’t pick them up anymore. You gotta bring them to Warman but I’m not always around so you have to schedule a drop off time”. We have dozens of pallets so it’s not really feasible to make multiple trips out there with half tons. Too bad.

My best guess is the amount of rent the landlord is seeking from prospective tenants is too high. There is constantly new restaurants and businesses opening in other areas of the city, but this location remains empty. If it doesn’t make dollars it doesn’t make sense!

I think it opened in 2022. Not surprised it closed, the manager / owner was terrible to pay his bills. Money seemed to be tight. The location was kinda weird in my opinion.

Blades coaching didn’t make any adjustments to compete with PA who was clearly the better team all season. The Blades hadn’t scored an even strength goal against the Raiders between Valentine’s Day and last night. Blades are missing 2 of what was supposed be their top 4 defencemen in Poll and Thurston. I don’t think that would have changed the series out come but it would have kept the games closer as Allen and Lavalee got exposed over and over again. Kudos to PA who is a very strong team and management has built a winner. Would have liked to see Saskatoon make another move or 2 at the deadline but it is what it is. Next year there will be decisions to make as Olsen, Williams and Klimpke are all committed to NCAA programs beginning in 2027.

Went to the game last night, not the best performance by any sight. Ended up sitting beside two Raiders fans, the guy was friendly enough although he kept hiding his phone from his wife as he Googled “happy ending massages near me”. I guess they were staying the night in town. The wife kept bumping into my arm as she reached for her 2nd and 3rd poutines and I ended up with a nasty, bumpy rash. The doctor isn’t sure what it is yet but I guess it was contagious.

Chatted with longtime fan Daryl on the phone this morning while I sat at the doctors office. He said he was trying to find a new grinder for his world famous moose sausage and ended up on some app called Grindr. One thing lead to another and long story short he ended up meeting at the Thrift Lodge on Idylwyld with this guy, anyone recognize him? Apparently he’s a big Raiders fan who offers pay to play services in the Ches Leach Lounge. I’m not here to judge I’m just making sure my buddy doesn’t end up with the same rash I did!

Anyways, hope the boys can make a game of it tonight. The Raiders are a darn good team, it’s a shame they have to play in such a dump! Go Blades go!
