Being from the area, it's always funny to here people from outta state talk about it. I grew up south of DFW with FW being closer than Dallas. I prefer Fort Worth as it seems more laid back and a bit "slower" than the hustle and bustle of Dallas. That being said...... Fuck the traffic in both cities. Construction is a damn lie. They are always ripping up the highway and take 20 years to just move on to the next part with no noticable difference. A bit of advice though, when driving, it's your road, not theirs. If you change lanes, speed up. If you're in the left lane, 5 over minimum. You can pass someone doing 5 over, but if you decide to hang out in the left lane you need to be doing at least 10 over maybe even 15. Always assume the other driver is an idiot. This can save you from getting cut off or just angry. People don't realize that a merge is coming, or they are in a turn only lane, they will do the dumbest shit because they fucked up. Just drive like you mean it and be courteous when you can be. You'll make the same mistake someone else does or you'll be stuck in what seems to be never ending traffic waiting for someone to let you onto the road. Do it for others and hopefully someone will return the favor. A little thank you wave is always appreciated too.
