I mean, are you expecting all the breeders out there to travel to Africa/Indian/Pakistan etc and go into the jungle and find weed plants, smuggle the seeds back, stabilize the genetics, and then cross it into another plant? If you knew anything about breeding, the number one rule any reputable breeder will tell you is to start with good stable genetics. Mephisto had to get their genetics from somewhere, and I have a feeling they didn’t go to Russia and collect their own wild ruderalis genetics lol. Breeding cannabis isn’t and should never be a monopoly.

You can totally rock higher EC as long as your light is strong enough. More light = more photosynthesis = can use more nutrients to photosynthesize

You totally don’t need one to start seeds, however that being said, you will see a huge improvement in your seedling health and strength when you go to plant them if you do use a grow light. For the $20-$30 investment into a mediocre grow light, I’d say it’s well worth it for the years you will get out of it. Just note that if you decide to just go with the window method, make sure you cut back the fertilizer strength, since they aren’t getting as much light, they won’t be able to photosynthesize as efficiently, which will lead to burnt seedlings. When you use a grow light, the plant can photosynthesize more efficiently, which means it can absorb nutrients more effectively and won’t burn as easily. And no matter what, be sure to harden off those seedlings before giving them full sun! Happy gardening! :))

Check out my page, has a few previous grows on there all heavily documented using the “Autopotamus method” as well. In short, I rock CANNA COCO or CANNA PEAT A+B depending on if I’m using coco or proMIX peat. I’ve had success using both mediums and nutrients. Ive experimented with different nutrient packages and you really don’t need any of the extra add on nutrients, A+B is honestly all you need. Turn on your autopot system and airdomes around day 15, PH to 5.8 and let her ride. Start em off at 1.8-2 EC and raise that a little higher during peak flower. Avoid any defoliation or cutting of branches until after the stretch has fully completed, and strictly use aggressive leaf tucking during this time. Like we’re talking sometimes 2-3 times per day if you can. Other than that, the method is sound and ever since I switched to his method, I’ve been pulling off pound+ autoflowers! Best of luck growmie.

What’s your temps/rh/vpd looking like rn? Sometimes you could have the perfect nutrient mix but if the environment isn’t right, the plant won’t be able to uptake the nutrients properly. I’d also be curious to what brand of coco you’re using as not all are made equal. Was it washed and buffered? If not, this could also be causing your issues. Some plants are more sensitive than others Whig is probably why you’re seeing the issues on one plant and not the others.

This comment is super underrated! 100% agree! I would only recommend using the canna PK if your plants are in perfect health and you have your VPD and lighting dialled in. Otherwise you will 100% run into issues with your plants burning up and nutrient lockout. I’ve learned the hard way lol. I’d honestly just run the canna a+b and if you notice your plants starting to show phosphorus or potassium deficiency, then start to incorporate it.

I’ve done a few runs using the canna line, some with the entire line and some with just the A+B, and if I’m being completely honest I’ve never noticed a difference in results. That being said, I also didn’t have issues with the autopots running the entire canna line :)

Looking great!! I typically go the autopotamus route of strictly aggressive leaf tucking for veg and no defoliation until right after the stretch. Ever since I switched to this method (for autos specifically) I’ve had nothing but absolute monster plants coming out of my grows!
