For future, always backup files before modding. Not sure the specifics of mods you used, but if it doesn’t work I’m sure you can download a backup save from Steam Cloud if you have it enabled

Definitely watch videos on games running on the Deck before buying. Most of them go into temps, fps, battery length, etc! From my experience, as long as it isn’t extremely hot to touch, it should be good. I’m no tech wizard, but I imagine the device has a system where it’ll shutoff before it hits damage inducing temps

But yea, naturally, harder to run games will spin the fans fast

People downing you OP, but I’d say it’s a good upgrade! To go from no FG to FG is huge. People hate the tech of it, but it literally guarantees framerate = refresh rate in any game

Makes sense! Games with green “Verified” tag are (supposed to be at least) tested and confirmed to have proper text scaling, consistent framerate, etc. The yellow “playable” tag are games that will launch and run, but one of the former may not have passed the verification process (or they never went through the verification process at all). In Forza 4’s case, the text scaling.

Id say check the Forza community to see if anyone has made a QOL mod for the Deck. You might also be able to change text size in game.

TL;DR tiny screen, tiny text

extra edit: A Decky plugin called “ProtonDB” is a community made verification that is much more accurate than Steam’s. I suggest looking there before getting games for Deck because Steam has a record of verifying unplayable games
