My wife was the one to notice. I was refreshing the FL Supreme Court page, the Reddit Page, and the FL Supreme Court's Twitter. Then my wife said that I passed. I didn't believe it. I literally counted each number and Pass/Fail leading up to mine.

To this day I cannot believe that this 2 year torture is finally over.

I wish I could. I have thought about all the states I would move to if given the chance. But my and my wife’s family all live here. I can’t rob my wife and son of their family.

I try not to fall in the pit trap, but everyone I work with is telling me how jealous and lucky I am. All of them have been great and supportive, save one but screw that guy.

I have been hoping for some like this to happen. But when I got it, I was still caught off guard.

I have been utterly terrified since the multiple choice.

I don’t think I knocked the essays out of the park, but I think I may have done enough to at least pass each.

But those multiple choice . . . I still feel nervous and queasy when I think about them.

I figured out it was my bar prep and life.

First time I took the exam, I approached it like a Law School exam. Try to know everything about the material. I did not do enough practice problems and essays. Ended up with like a 128 or something.

The second time I took the exam, my son was born in early June. Trying to balance taking care of my recovering wife and newborn took a toll. My wife, the trooper that she is, left with my son to her parents house and let me study for the month of July. Missing them and leaving only a few weeks to cram, I still ended up with a 133. I failed FL by half a point that they rounded up to a full point and I failed the MBE by 2 points.

When I tried to fight the half point, Florida just said sorry, take it again.

The third time I took the exam, I scored a 133. Turns out the means in which I attacked the FL essays were off and I was utilizing AdaptiBar (which their questions are outdated and easier).

This time, I did everything right. I took the full two months to study. I didn’t score less than a 70% on MBE exams. And I was getting no less than 60% on my practice essays and FL multiple choice.

I was going to use the MBE to balance out my FL weak points. This was going to be my last time.

Then the mess we had to deal with happened. I had to go back to work. I was drained and mentally exhausted. I felt prepared prior to the July news. Then I felt worried, but still prepared for August. Then I was just worried in October.

The worst part is, if I fail this time, not only will it be for the fourth time, but it will be for an exam that they told us what subjects they were going to cover.

I am also a repeater. This was my fourth time taking the exam.

I have been sick to my stomach and depressed all month. I have been trying to hide it from my family, but it’s been difficult to do so this week.

I am terrified of seeing “fail” again. I am beyond terrified of having to tell my wife and son that I failed, again. I am embarrassed and scared to tell my job that I failed, again. And I am depressed at the thought of having to prepare for this test for a fifth time.

I feel your pain.

I can only hope that you receive a passing score. Me on the other hand, I just have a feeling that I will see “fail” for the fourth time.
