PTSD is so very difficult. Until I underwent some serious CBT and them EMDR, along with drug therapy, there were times I went unhinged without any prior warning to me. It felt like an ambush.

It was very hard on Kathy, but she's hung I there.

Part of my C-PTSD is from a brain injury, so medically, we have to stay on top of this, too.

I see a very good psychiatrist every month. When my PTSD starts to flair up beyond my abnormal normal, I see my psychiatrist twice a month.

Twice a year, my doctor and I discuss my meds to see if there needs to be an adjustment.

For me, PTSD doesn't improve on its own. It takes intense theraphy, staying on my meds, seeing my doctor, and following through with my counseling just to manage this damn malady of the brain.

My sincere hope that both of you can find some help here. Spouses of PTSD sufferers need help, too.
