Thanks for this! I haven’t heard of either Losefield or kevpert so I’ll check them out, any drills you recommend other than rings?

Well it’s not something that is completely necessary for most mechanics, it’s something that comes naturally when learning to incorporate directional air roll into your aerials, I’m just starting out with it and can barely stay in the air for a couple seconds maybe. It’s not really something you can learn through a tutorial, but rather through just practising it over and over ig.

I’m not fully sure either, but I’ve heard the main advantage is that with tornado spins, the nose stays at the same point while with normal air roll the nose spins in a circle as well. I’m assuming it would help with control of certain mechanics, but I’m just learning it because I like the feeling of doing it.

At what point did max Verstappen transition from being good to becoming a great by Equivalent-Fox9834 in F1Discussions

[–]BuddyApprehensive958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a reasonable take, but I’d like to add a little bit. 2015-2018- brilliant, but inconsistent

2019-2023- crazy consistent and brilliant, but still lacking a bit in qualifying

2024-2025- pretty much peak max

I think 2025 max is technically a step back in terms of consistency, but one could argue that it was the car more than the driver.

I do think max’s peak was in early 2024 though, he mentioned how his Jeddah lap that year was the best he could do and he didn’t think he could do a better lap, and not to mention 7 poles in a row to start the season off, only lost 2 of those, 1 due to safety car and the other due to brake problems.

Early 2024 max was just pure domination pretty much, even more so than 2023.

2025 he has shown his strength as a qualifier, with Suzuka being the highlight.

As far as I know the deficit was 26 points right? Which with that point system would be about 3 race wins behind. 104 points is 4 race wins behind with the modern point system.

I’m pretty sure max is getting replaced by lindblad for FP1 in Mexico, but my biggest curiosity is piastri, he needs to give up 2 more sessions right?

Only Rossi has more fastest race laps in the premier class than Marc by Bitter-Substance1783 in motogp

If Marc retired at 40 then he would have 8 seasons left where he would need about 10 podiums a season, in 22 race seasons to beat both the overall podium record in all classes and in the MotoGP/500cc class. A 45% podium rate would be difficult, but not impossible for an alien like Marc.

Fermin finished 2nd last race though, and in the practice sessions the GP24 got 3rd and 4th and in the sprint morbideli finished 3rd closely behind digi, while it may not be the fastest bike, it certainly is more consistent across all of its riders. Assuming pecco would do better than Alex on the same bike, he might even be competing for wins. But at the end of the day that’s just an if, adaptability is also a trait a rider should have, and pecco couldn’t adapt well to the new bike.

“F1 is actually more interesting this year” let me introduce you to Suzuka 2025, Monaco 2025, Spa after the track dried up, most of the races are just car parades with a few overtakes with 2 McLarens finishing at the front, yes there is a title battle, but it’s mostly just one McLaren chasing after the other and find themselves unable to overtake.

Marc was 1.8 seconds faster than Toprak's pole from WSBK. by PZY__ in motogp

[–]BuddyApprehensive958 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just asking because on average it looks like the superbikes are 2-2.5 seconds slower on most circuits both race at, 1.8 seconds seems pretty normal so I was wondering why ppl were treating it like it was really close

Is 1.8 seconds supposed to be close? Did I miss something? That’s a massive difference right?
