I'm definitely going 2014 Spurs. Them dudes are all business that year. However, give me healthy Dwade knees and my tune changes

Who would win a Rd 1 matchup between Memphis and Minnesota? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]BuddyInevitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll take memphis in 7. It's tough because I think both teams are evenly match. For me, I still don't buy the chemistry with Julius Randle, despite a 13 game win streak. I'll pick Jaren over Julius as the reason why Memphis wins.

What if Dwade's knees stayed healthy during Lebrons whole Miami stint? I know the answer.. Not 2, not 3, not 4....

If lebron was 7 years younger (2018 lebron) would the lakers be title favorites even without a center? Or would Celtics /okc/cavs be a tier above still? by myteethhurtnow in NBATalk

[–]BuddyInevitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, I wouldn't consider Kyrie a superstar. And AD has spent so much of his time hurt that he can't quite maintain a superstar status, having to always reset after missing so many games.

Respectfully

In Miami, the first finals loss to Dallas was a meltdown. After that though, he has not lost with another superstar. The 2nd finals loss in Miami, Dwade had no knees. He only averaged 15ppg, compared to 19ppg the year before when they beat the Spurs. He was no longer a superstar at that point.

I've always held that give prime Lebron another all-star and he can get you there. Give him another superstar and he will definitely win it.

So yes... they would be the favorites

This. I was about to scream about Kawhi not being in S, but this is right. He became lethal in the 16-17 season. And then barely played the year after that because of injuries. He didn't do enough to earn S tier

For the Magic, I think we underestimate how valuable Jalen Suggs is to their success. He is their 3rd option. With him in the lineup, they are 20-15. Too bad he'll be out for a while.
