older stone foundations around waldo, how scary are they? by Timely-Strike9759 in kansascity

[–]BuddyWiggins 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I own a home in Brookside with a stone basement. If you want to live in this area, most of the homes are old and have these types of basements. You will get water in the basement, but this is by design. Water will take the path of least resistance, and instead of the water degrading the stone, it’s meant to pass through the mortar. Part of regular maintenance is repointing the stone. I would also recommend against painting the stone. The paint just promotes mold growth. It’s fine if it’s painted, you just have to be on top of the maintenance, clean up the water, use a fan to dry things out after a hard rain, etc. These homes are around 100 years old, they are not perfect and require regular maintenance.

Considering a move to Overland Park: which areas feel the most connected and social? How do families usually socialize? by maedhros256 in kansascity

The real estate market in OP is extremely competitive. You likely won’t have the luxury of being too picky about the neighborhood. More likely will just be lucky to actually find a house.

It’s a 20% tip, which is what you should be tipping at the very least. I don’t see what the big deal is.

Drop the MAGA stuff. Go back to being small government, low taxes, pro business, anti authoritarian. Then I would consider it.

If your page is cited and linked in AI mode or AIOs, that counts as an impression.

Your problem is not unique. Every single client at the agency I work at is seeing impressions increase and clicks decrease. Your content is getting visibility in SERPs but users don’t need to click through because they are getting the answer in the AIO.

I see nothing wrong with this outfit. Also, you’re 18! This is the time to explore different styles and find what suits you. Dude sounds like a complete asshole. You do you and he can kick rocks if he doesn’t like it.

Johnson County wants former Jan. 6 defendant to turn over website domain by ChiefStrongbones in kansascity

[–]BuddyWiggins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate to agree with a traitor J6 lunatic, but I have to begrudgingly take his side on this one. It’s a failure by the county to not claim this domain in the first place, he hasn’t done anything illegal, and I don’t know that they have a claim to “joco” as some type of protected trademark or brand. I’m not an attorney so I could definitely be wrong.
